It's not even that. Many ladies are fine with handing over some agency, but to the right man, someone they can be proud of. It could be for a studly man. It could be for a rich dude who showers her with luxuries left and right and takes her to Bahamas on a private yacht on a whim. Heck, it could even be just for a guy who holds down a decent job and is kind.
But Salad is none of those. He's a bumbling scammer. He's ugly (though some Farmers took an interest in his looks earlier in this arc, LOL). Whatever Chins gets in Kuwait, it comes out of her own pocket. He can't even fake being nice to her, he throws shade here and there and has to be forced to even hold her hand. I am hard-pressed to find a single redeeming quality for him unless I go extreme and say "at least he hasn't killed her".
There's a reason why she tries to repeat her assertions about her great life there care of Salad and how handsome he is. She does that in the faint hope that if a lie is told repeatedly, it becomes truth. But because she has a tiny brain, she doesn't understand that the lie has to be repeated by different people, not just her saying it over and over. She also does that for herself, because facing the cold, hard truth of throwing away your relatively cushy, drugged life in Canada for a life in the desert, paying an ugly man who shows no care or compassion for you just so you can say someone wanted you while stewing in a hot, small, room for most of the day is too hard to bear. And we love that for her.
