A lot of these sorts seem to believe that being online and using social media is an intrinsic part of life. That they quite literally cannot stop and give it up.

It's a mixture of an inability to look outside their comfy little first-world lives at all, shallowness, and an inability to distinguish reality from everything else.

I think lowtax did a good job and he just cleaned out all the riff raff so the forum could be good without people shitting it up. Why are you so jealous?

Lowtax despises and hasn't given a fuck about the SA forums for years. To him it's just a small paycheck and he'll put in the least amount of effort to keep it going. He and his latest wife will show up in the beginning of the month, make a few posts, and throw a few bans around then just stop posting. You can set your watch to it. He's also got someone working for free trying to clean up the years of Radium's shitty posting.

Radium actually had something resembling talent, once, but he never really followed through on anything and thus, all the features he added half work. A shame really, he had some decent ideas.

i never really fucked with the forums but the main page articles would occasionally get a chuckle out of me

i also actually enjoyed some of the stuff on the flash tub but holy fuck what even is shmorky
that's not his real voice, right?

Occams razor this, the reason they think this is because they were told to think it. Because there were a million Salon.com thinkpieces spewing this same line. The reason is because when these people are online they are generating money for people. They are either clicking on ads or they are creating content that generates ad clicks. "Cyberbullying/gamergate/whatever" is THE MOST IMPORTANT CIVIL RIGHTS BATTLE OF OUR GENERATION because it interferes with rich people making money. Thats it. If it didnt, no one would care. Case in point, this shit has been universal since fucking usenet, it was only when the Happy Merchants figured out that having normies jacked into the Matrix makes a shitload of cash that being jacked into the Matrix became a god given right.

Honestly, we, the humble shitlords are the true heroes here. Because we jack people out of the content farm, even if they kick and scream all the way. How many people have actually gone outside and interacted with other people instead of watching youtube vloggers for 5 hours straight because of us?
