He always looks like he's on crack.
And that creepy wide grin looks like a horror show that some like Meat Canyon can come up with.
And Bud Light thought it was a good idea to put that AGP face on a can. Was that really the BEST they could come up with?
The true crime here is people still drink the pisswater that is budlight
I mean, Bud Light is in the tier of “cheap shit you can get a bottle of six pack of pretty much anywhere”. Wonder what they’re competing with that’s better.
And again, a bunch of suits in St. Louis may still get your money if you don’t crack the web.
And the daily mail was the very paper which sponsored the British Union of fascists lead by Oswald Mosley.
I know that was a century ago but their “reporting” is the kind of xenophobic jingoism designed to trigger knee jerk reactions and outrage that fascist propaganda depends on.
Perfect for the Thunderdome!
I understand this, but the truth is that boycotts are gay and faggy and fail against these monolithic corporations often because there's niggercattle who can't be bothered as there's no other viable options. That's not the case with Budweiser though. People have a choice and Budweiser is a bad choice. Nobody will lose anything from their lives by dumping Budweiser.
Well, there’s also the other brands Anheuser Busch owns. So they may still get money from all of this.
I explained this to a friend last night. Dylan Mulvaney is not in this for the money. Dylan Mulvaney may have made a lot of money during his time as an influencer, but that's not a win for him. He wants to be famous and a diva for the rest of his life. The idea of the entire world hating him and turning against him is too much for him and he WILL have a spiral arc.
What are the odds that this turns into some rallying cry for the left like George Floyd was? Even if there’s no external person/force you can argue holds direct responsibility for the demise?
The real question for Budweiser is, Will they bring back Spuds MacKenzie to save the day?
Honestly, I think I know a better call.
The last times I remember Bud being a big deal.
Who would've thunk that associating with a repulsive freak who's a parody of most troon stereotypes would have a negative impact on business? Just goes to show that the majority of Marketing execs are actually retarded and don't understand that people are rightfully repulsed by troons.
Honestly, they just want good PR. Simple as that. If anything, they’ll probably be forced to continue doing the bidding of the audience they’re going for in the event they see what the company is doing and goes “not good enough!”
So how long do normie corporate boycotts last? I also don't understand why people drink Budweiser brand beers in the first place they all taste like aluminum can. Despite being owned by the same parent company the only palatable mass produced beer for me are Modelo and Dos Equis. They taste like they want you to have a fun time with the bros on a Saturday night.
I can only imagine not as long as the Thunderdome wants. Internet scuffles and dramas tend to only last as long as it takes until the next one comes around. The only question becomes what happens of the suits and marketing people that let these things happen. And if Bud Light doubles down or not.
Something to keep in mind outside of all of this stock stuff, as it's all bullshit anyway and doesn't reflect reality in any sense, is that the company has at least taken some steps to distance themselves from Dylan by saying they just sent him a standard PR kit like they do to many social media influencers and didn't want to endorse him as a brand spokesman. Now that's probably bullshit but it's interesting.
As for the stock, you won't know the effect of this until 3 months from now at the least when the next earnings report comes out, as then some of the distribution drops will actually manifest in the quarter, especially as Bud is a spring/summer drink. Then if enough people drop them, and by people I mean venues, events, and carriers, it will show up in the balance sheet and institutions might jump on it.
As is, it's all conjecture and market fluctuations.
The boycott might eventually end but Buds troubles do not end there.
These ex-Bud customers have not stopped drinking beer. They have just switched to drinking virtually identical beer from a different label instead.
Even if they appologie, why should these people switch back? Maybe they think the new beer is just as good so why not just keep drinking the new beer.
That is the danger. The "boycott" might end today but the customers are not coming back because they have found a new favorite beer.
EDIT: also, this talk about "they could distance themself, just say they just sent him a PR kit". Lol, they fucking made beercans with his face front and centre on the cans. That is way beyond just a small PR kit, lol.
Two things:
1. They specifically made Dylan cans and mentioned the 365 days milestone. With Dylan’s face. The TikTok may have been typical influencer activity. But a special can makes me think there’s bigger plans. Or was. Like a TV commercial.
2. You speak of the stocks taking a hit, but given that most don’t know about the web of Anheuser Butch/InBev products, and probably don’t really care, (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anheuser-Busch_brands), I’m not entirely sure how long the boycott will last. If anything, I wonder if things will subside because some don’t want to be driven insane by thinking of how to buy a product while also not supporting their supposed enemy.
I mean, how long is it going to take these companies to learn that people don’t want this shit.
I think it’s been well established that the folks who push this shit think that all that’s needed to make this work is just eliminating the undesirables, be it through social engineering or straight up purges.
