She said in the latest episode that KF is the only site on which she does searches for her own name. You don't need an account to do that, but following threads is a lot easier. Heavy exposure to the site would give her the courage to say nigger on the podcast despite living in Seattle and having a cohost who shrivels up when he hears a white person say "the n-word", to say nothing of the actual word.

I think she looks up photos of these freaks before talking about them, and once she does that she can't ever think of them as their larp identity. It's easier when you only see their anime avatars on Twitter. Also her old employer tricked her into going to a tranny struggle session once, and I assume any empathy she had went up in smoke after the fifth 6'8" dude wearing a tube top screamed in her face that he was just as female as she.

I think this is "fair" because Jesse is in the field of journalism criticism and all stupid/dangerous journalists spend all their time on Twitter so it's probably incumbent on him to maintain some knowledge of it for his work. Freddie de Boer has gotten the same criticism for years and while he's never articulated this argument specifically, he should have and has come close. Also, Jesse clearly wants to be Freddie but nice and not deliberately outcast from these circles. (Something Jesse can do because they're all frauds and don't treat each other in real life as they do on Twitter. Freddie can't because he takes this too seriously.)
Freddie frustrates me. He has banned all trans discussion on his Substack because…his commenters/subscribers aren’t pro-trans enough for him. Rather than losing readers by banning or engaging and maybe thinking a little differently or just tolerating deviation from his views, the topic is completely verboten. I stopped paying for his Sub because of it.
I think it's just because he can't answer how all his other criticisms don't apply to it. It's the same reason he has always, for over a decade, refused to explain how he's still a Marxist when he disagrees with basically all of its tenets. (Yes, every so often he writes a "why I'm still a Marxist" article but never includes any Marxism in it.)
Good point. He’s highly critical of wokeness in any area except that one.
