It is interesting that phil even says he doesn't know who lil Wayne is but he goes into this super gay clown mode over the idea of someone he knows nothing about doing a presentation on street fighter.. so why exactly is lil Wayne a bad fit for this, when you know nothing about him?

The whole "joke" is that the premise of lil Wayne hosting a street fighter event is absurd on its own and thats it, he never even attempts to articulate why its a bad thing or supposed to be funny.

And the whole thing really shows how clueless and delusional phil is- "why didn't they choose someone who appeals to me???" Maybe because people like you and people who would even know the names of pro players are already buying the game on day 1 anyway. Maybe Capcom wants to expand their audience, not every company can be dspgaming and cultivate a small audience of 300 people and never try to grow again.

Here's the thing, Phil.

When it comes to marketing Street Fighter 6, Capcom has been thinking outside its FGC bubble, I.E. doing the opposite of what they did for Street Fighter V. State of Play presentations, The Game Awards, Metro City Academy where we turn casuals with a semi-relevant name into online warriors... Phil NEEDS these newcomers, because if he boots up this game on Week 1, and enters online, then never mind the losers grinding away on an outdated beta, it would otherwise be full of everyone who's been playing and learning and forming a community to help others level up their game, and... Phil's gonna have a bad time.

I mean, he will already, that goes without saying, but there will be less noob stomping for Mr. Over the Hill.

There is no option Dave would be happy with for presenting SF. With the one obvious exception of piggy himself. You see, Dave has actual personal history with SF so only he can give meaningful insightful commentary.

There is literally no one else on earth who has any personal history with any popular media so everyone else who trys to host/reack-ack-ack is just a shill.

Wait... is that all he's doing? Just some presentation for Street Fighter?? Jesus Christ after Phils' meltdown yesterday you would've thought they made him a character and his songs were the only soundtrack within the game. All that flapping over literal nothing... what an absolute idiot

Edit: Just realised why DSP is so annoyed by this... it's because Lil Wayne is black. Those fingernails will be non-existent by the end of the presentation.

Don't think I could ever subject anyone to the autism vortex. Phil hasn't had a JULAAYY moment but even still he is a cow I wouldn't want anyone not autisitic to see.

If by some miracle he was asked to host the event, he would probably demand to host from the snort fort to the point of losing the deal.

I got one and it's someone Dave has "surr'd" on twitter in the past: Kenny Omega. Would make sense Kenny is an avid Street Fighter player and even played Cody in the live action character reveal vignette.
EDIT: The other slightly more unlikely would be Austin Creed and that's because he's under WWE contract and they're funny about their talent doing outside work.

After the event, when there is nothing to clout chase, there would be 3 pod khasts worth of rants about how Kenny was not a good host, being a good player doesn't make you a good host, I got secret vague info about how this guy was a scum in my FSC days, etc

Maybe he did confess to T, who then threatened to tell everybody? That would be another explanation of why DSP snapped and brutally murdered him.

Speaking of, if Phil hadn't murdered him by stabbing him in the spine, severing his spinal cord and paralyzing him, and then shot him point blank in the back of the head with a sawn-off shotgun, T could've done the presentation. He was a rising star in the CT Street Fighter scene and many people who knew him said that he would've been one of the GOAT fighting game players not just in the US but the entire world. Unfortunately, his life was cut short because Phil wanted to take T's Street Fighter toys.
