They're doing that riling up of Magyar minority thing basically in all the former territories of the empire, and it annoys everyone from Croatia to Slovakia to Romania, which just today had the trillionth news item of a Hungarian politician, in this case the president, Katalin Novak, coming in an unofficial position to visit some city where some statue to a dude that wrote the Hungarian national hymn was raised. This was considered a provocation by local grug types, which came to protest, and Ms. Novak went to their group, inflaming them further and angering her secret service protection. Happens quite often, from the Great Hungary maps to these visits to eternally moaning about minority rights (just one minority).
No neighboring country official goes to Hungary to do this shit and provoke, so it's quite one sided. Most of these countries have been trying to put the imperial crap in the past and coexist as Europeans, but Hungary is set to stir shit up which is absolutely stupid and pointless, as it's a 9M country that is in NATO surrounded by NATO allies.
I get the Trianon stuff, I have quite a bit of Hungarian and German blood and the area I was born in is very diverse, but I'm not big on destabilizing things for the sake of, well, nothing.

It's basically we wuz kangz level stuff. Being a small middle income Central European has to be a bit of a come down compared to all that the Hungarian gentry once harshly lorded over in the Kingdom of Hungary. Granted these are much more vulnerable to fire from the ground and SAMs, but it appears lately the Russians have been somewhat lacking MANPADs and radar/IR-controlled AAA vehicles, which has led them to rely on those MT-LB monstrosities & 1940's AA guns for anti-drone work.

Although it may also be a doctrine thing; i.e. Russians aren't allowed to expend MANPADS on anything other than conventional fixed or rotary wing aircraft; unlike the Ukrainians who have no compunction about shooting at even Mavics with Stingers, SA-9, or Starstreaks.
