Fuck network effect. We're on the fediverse, we've already disregarded the network effect of globohomo social media. Imagine having your account on a instance that harbors weaponized malicious child porn possessing pedophiles with the added bonus of an admin who constantly defederating both individual users and entire instances due to personal issues, real or imagined. Go ahead and make you're own instance, that's cool, but I won't think of the poor innocent pedophile-adjacent poa.st users. It's objectively a bad instance by nearly every measure, pick a new one, it's not a big deal. I have at least 3 fedi accounts, and that's a good thing!

Having an account on poa.st is frankly a legal liability. It's really only a matter of time until the feds put out a warrant against poa.st. Graf himself says he gets calls from police regarding child pornography at least once a month. As far as I know no law enforcement have ever contacted Josh regarding anything on KFcc, ever.

Poast is a shit instance and Graf is fucking unstable there's literally hundreds of better options on the Fedi, Poast only got big because of Farmers using it as a lifeboat and Jim's Sweety Squad skinwalkers following the Hat Man.

Poast was the port of refuge during Hurricane Kuffals. But like any other failed experiment in multiculturalism, it did not work out.

Also graf went insane after defending Borzoi's wife's nose's honor.

We don't, we aren't going forward because graf made the decision for both of us to end federation. The story for newcomers behind poa.st is graf is some Canadian anime guy who started an instance and for whatever reason became popular with the Podcast Race™ despite the fact he himself is not a member (and would probably be illegal for him to do so as a Canadian). That's it, that's the story. It's a instance popular with pedophiles who listen to a particular Star Trek fancast hosted by a Jew named Mike Enoch. They're annoying, and now one of their Podcast Racers is openly bragging about how he dumps child pornography on other people's servers as a raiding technique. It's way too hot from a legal perspective.

I'm familiar with the backstory. I was one of the refugees and got banned almost immediately. I just don't get why you and Josh still interact/respond to him when you already know what you're getting into with him. Is it literally just us trying not to get defederated from a large instance?

Because dealing with federation diplomacy is literally my janny-job. KFcc just came back online and now a guy who has already dumped child pornography is threatening to do it again. It's my janny-job to talk to Graf about it. Graf made it clear that he's okay with facilitating the distribution of child pornography (this is a serious crime by the way in case anyone didn't know, unlike randomly calling people pedophiles or lolicons). That's not okay. Graf either takes action or we cannot maintain federation, it's a legal issue. This is super illegal, it's not sorta illegal, it's super illegal.

I'm also not the type of person to ignore comments or questions. If graf or anyone else is going to send me a message I'll probably respond. I don't see this as a problem.

There should be an option to close your account under settings. I cant remember if data backup is an option. Be advised, the IP you use when deleting will be blocked once deletion is done.

Now that was not something I was aware of. Now I feel sick just having an account on it. How the hell did this instance become the exodus default during the September shitstorm. This is what I get for being completely uninterested in the fedi until that month.
