I don't recall seeing a post about this person already, if so, I'm sorry for the double posting.
I can't stand SumitoMedia. He moves and talks exactly like every other social commentary channel, are these guys done in batch? Same status-quo jokes, same preachy rhetoric, same obnoxious personality.
His video about SunnyV2 was especially painful:
Thumbnail chosen for the video is especially ironic, as if he doesn't makes clickbait titles and doesn't do anything for views.
What's wrong with people like him, these social commentaries channels with checkmarks having a compulsive need of showing down your throat their ideologies or the current status quo? One of the few reasons he's still relevant is because that Internet Historian featured him the most on his secondary channel.
Extra points for being a pahjeet living outside of india (probably canada), like SOG. Who also goes onto worthless tangents and barely does any reserch on the video he does, which is especially funny considering that by the time he made a video on whatever subject he is doing a video on, he could already have done a full fledged documentary on it, instead of whatever paper towel notes he keeps reading off.
The whole point of that video wasn't even that.
I think that the point of crowbcat is that you watch the video and then make your own conclusion, whether positive or negative. If you dislike the remake, then you'll probably watch the video as a circlejerk. if you liked it, you'll watch the video as a circlejerk too.
Pretty much crowbcat's newest video is 30 minutes of "don't ask questions, just consoom product and get excited for next product."
how exactly? he even linked more
videos criticizing the Remake and more comparison to try and steer the public into having a negative opinion of the remake lol. If anything, the message is "hate product and get disappointed in next product".
I'm also sure the point of the video is "capcom is shitting on their old product by killing the old art style of the game" or something like that.
Which considering Capcom, it's nothing new.
I'm baffled that there's still people that like both that hellhole company and the treatment of their games and fandom.
Like Konami, Nintendo, SEGA, Ubisoft and Activision/Blizzard, you can open a thread on them as well. From shit PR, to egregious political bashing in their games, to (allegedly) terrible work environment even for Japan's standard, they have it all.
