That really depends on what field you're in.Protip: Normal people have a life outside of their job.
You know: A chef doesn’t go home to cook, an accountant doesn’t go home to practice their 1337 tax skillz.
There are fields you enter for money and there are fields you enter as passion projects.
I know tax preparers and they do it for the money. I know geologists and I would not consider someone a serious geologist who never went rock-hounding for fun.
To employ a metaphor here, there are languages you learn to get your 8 credits to graduate, and there are languages you learn because that's a world you want to live in, if only part time.
Tech shit seems like a world you have to want to live in.
