It really is amazing to hear how badly they fucked up the teams reaction to ruby (not) dying in front of them. I mean shit if what I'm hearing is right yang starts smiling and going along like nothing ever happened. That is some infuriatingly tone deaf writing.
Look it's been... What 3 years sense I watched season 6? And I still remember how yang in season 2 talked about how guilty and traumatized she was when she lead ruby into danger as a child.
They expect anyone to just believe yang wouldn't care if her sister was in potentially mortal danger? I got siblings, I know dam well I'd be concerned if they were in trouble let alone fucking committing what appears to be magical suicide.
These writers don't know how to write relationships. Shit they don't even know how to write characters that act like normal human beings half the time. This is supposed to be a world where death is right around the corner and people need to fight to control their emotions or else they could bring death beasts upon them. But suddenly in a world with no grim I'm supposed to believe they would just keep their shit together? Just terrible writing and world building all around.
This only would have worked if there was SOME kind of of denal or desperate hope that she was ok. Something that they need to believe to keep from falling into despair. Acting like nothing is wrong makes everyone look like psychopathic assholes.
It would be fucking hilarious if yang gets more of ( or less!) a reaction to seeing summer then her sister.
Oh and if my math is right Salem is probably destroying the world right now while the gang is in wonderland, what with summer being there this whole time. Don't mind seeing her but jeeze I don't see them living up to any hype in writing her story.
I will be very surprised if they get another season.
