I don't know what post you were reading but they never actually said that porn was totally safe and harmless and had no problems.

The point they actually made and that you ignored was that it isn't as bad as a full-blown heroin addiction, and they were right to do so. If you think a porn addiction is on the same level as a heroin addiction then you just fundamentally are not a serious person living in the same real world as everyone else. The opioid epidemic has a massive human cost - you can go and read stories about 8 year old kids having to learn that their mum died from an overdose or doing their homework in a car while their parents in the front seat are passed out with syringes in their arm, and the number of corpses this shit has produced is common knowledge. Where's the mountain of bodies from the porn addiction problem? Where are the photos of blasted out people leaving their kids in the backseat so they can go on pornhub and pass out? This shit is easier to access than fentanyl-laced heroin, so you should be able to just look out your window and see it.

I'm not gonna say porn is harmless, that shit can have a seriously nasty impact on your life and there are definitely people who have been fucked over by it - but it isn't anywhere near the same level as heroin and if you make that comparison you're outing yourself as another basement dweller with too much internet brain poisoning to properly function in society. Can you truthfully say that you learning your 13 year old kid had looked at playboy at a friend's house would get you just as mad and angry as learning that he had his first hit of black tar heroin there?

My rule of thumb is intended to provoke a thought checklist more than be infallible guidance, but I do think it’s somewhat rare for bdsm/bondage shit to ever end as normally as with a cream pie. Also I’d argue that those details are all tangential and arguably fetishistic because they don’t in themselves involve the penis going into the vagina.

If people can't control themselves others will at the very least turn the other way when the government "does something about it". The government always makes the problem worse and uses 'issues' for grabbing more power. Heroin should be legal, why does the government have the right to say what can-and-cannot go into your body? Then I see things like the homeless camps in California and don't really care that it's illegal. Logically I know the effects of the war on drugs has been terrible, far worse than the homeless camps. But you see that level of dysfunction and filth and want it gone.

We're reaching that same point likely with speech/access on the internet. The left has been eroding the concept for years to try to regulate mean words. The right is now coming in with laws that restrict access and tie vistis to identity. The obvious next step is some form of online ID for most services, which kills free speech. They just play to the fears of both sides to get the result they want.

Coomers play into this by defending their vice as okay. They go hysterical when told it may be bad. You can point to people like below (who is hopefully satire) and be concerned that your kids will end up similar. The government has no right to regulate access, but is always exploiting people's failings to push control.
