If you look at the map, only areas covered by 400mi radar from NATO or neutral airspace are Kherson, Crimea, parts of Zaporozhye and Chernigov region. Donbass is out of range. I doubt that Ukraine will get their own AWACS or that NATO planes will enter Ukraine's airspace.
AWACS is superior to ground radars, but only if you are able to protect it from enemy fighters.

I am curious about AWACS as I'm not familiar with it. When was it last effectively used? And what were the real world results?

By Russia, in Ukraine, to track low-profile targets and direct interceptors (since Russian AWACS doesn't have datalink, directions were given by voice over radio, lol). Also, by both sides for reconnaissance purposes, since AWACS can detect ground and naval targets, too.

Also, would it be immune to jamming? GPS can be knocked out. Didn't Rusdia do that already at least partially?

It's just a flying radar, so everything that works against regular radars would work against it (except going low).

I believe her family was Russian who escaped during the USSR days but I'm not positive (I don't follow the people who try to gain celebrity out of these things). It is called an INS system and it can work in tandem with existing GPS coordinates for fixed position targets or point to point navigation. GPS also cannot be jammed that far over the other guy's lines. You can fairly easily jam it over your own lines with some consequences, based on signal interference, but jammers are not working 25 miles plus behind the enemy lines where standoff munitions are released from.

Ya so hate to give your confirmation bias more bad feels but the Norden Bombsight psyop was an ENORMOUS success if you understand its actual purpose which was to make allied aircrews not feel guilty about murdering millions of civilians by making them think their attacks were much more highly targeted. That is precisely why they oversold the effectiveness of that system not to fool the Germans who had via Herman Lang stolen the plans for it in 1938.

There cannot be additional restrictions outside 12 nautical miles because that is not how international airspace works. Also that map covered January to March of this year, not like 1 month is old. Furthermore you would have no way of knowing what the current ISR flight routes are and your supposition that they have ceased around the Crimean peninsula or are flying further away from south eastern borders is entirely incorrect. They moved only the unmanned drone flights in Black Sea back to 40nm exclusion zone temporarily with everything else that is manned continuing its normal routine. They are as far away from border as they need to be to cover the entire country of Ukraine. If your radar can see hundreds of miles you don't need to park it on their doorstep; the drone sensor arrays are tiny and have much more limited range than a massive jet with 4 huge engines does lol. There is literally no sane reason at all to fly a larger platform right up to the line of border if you don't have to.

I just find it frustrating that they make no plans to integrate these migrants into the pre-existing culture and society. When the first wave of afgan migrants were brought to Europe they were treated as children who literally could not be held accountable for their actions, and that created a negative feedback loop that allowed for shittier and shittier behavior to the point that whole regions became unsafe and full of garbage. There will be a reckoning, but I don't know what it'll look like. We may have whole countries downgraded to slumholes like the shittier parts of the Middle East, or we may have a Crusade that performs a cultural and/or ethnic purge.

At this rate I do believe that in a few decades there will be a new Crusade or Hitler and a push for cultural conformity

Wasn't the AFU deliberately sabotaging and destroying buildings and facilities in the city areas they were holding while they evacuating? Russia probably deemed that part of the city will not be salvageable anyways so might as well eliminate a lot of forces in one shot, since the UAF was no longer keeping the structures as assets worth preserving.

The Russian forces have been remarkably logical about this war.
