Gretchen Felker-Martin / Micah Elliott Martin / scumbelievable / nonameinanytongue - Transgender media critic, author of MANHUNT, nuclear-grade turbocoomer, FAT, totally does not have a rape fetish

I have finally gotten around to reading this entire nightmare of a thread. I don’t have anything to say that hasn’t been said. I intensely dislike this disgusting man larping as a woman.
The thing about Lolita being a good romance :heart-empty:
Me and Lolita did have a great romance, indeed.

Ok but actually I was shocked but not surprised to see that in the OP. This just adds further proof to his literary illiteracy, as if we couldn’t tell from all the horseshit he’s written.
Oh, and by the way, he’s got an English degree. Can’t recall if it’s been mentioned here before. Hard to believe given the fanfic tier masterpieces he shits out. [A]

EDIT: I cant stop thinking about this deranged tranny sex pest. He is the worst I may have ever seen. The bad takes, the pro-pedo statements, the fetishization of the rape of women, the trannyism, the violent statements/hatred towards everyone who opposes him, his awful writing, all combines to make a perfect storm. He may not be as prolific as other tranny cows we got here, but he is arguably more dangerous than them because of his outspoken violent fantasies and his sizeable following (24k followers on Twitter) and influence.

I came back to edit the post because I couldn’t stop thinking about his social following and book’s reception. Yeah, sure, that rich lady propped him up and helped him, but the favorable reception was solely because of the trans-ness of both the story and the author. Think about it, it would not have received as much attention had it been a cis person who wrote the book, and it would’ve faded into obscurity if not for the troonism of the plot. The troonism of the plot is the real draw, the troonism of the author only fuels the former (and the people who want to support tranny artists or whatever).

As a result, he has built up a following of fellow trans cult members, who either can’t call him out for his wack ass shit like “kill Jesse Singal/JK Rowling/other prominent people who have anything negative to say about aspect of troonism” because they’ll be dogpiled and ousted, or won’t call him out because they believe it too.

When's the part when he gives back to his community, recontextualizes problems or considers other points of view?

Speaking of, found it, 2011 graduate from Clark University:

Comparing their hand hand size to his literal ham fists, I wanna say yes.

That and the derogatory-sounding "boy."

Not necessarily as Micah is a tall deathfat. But probably because he is all about the pussy, and a pooner’s will do in a pinch, plus he gets extra points for being pansexual or whatever.

Urgh, what a hateful hippo.

I got inspired by this proud woman: I am gonna write a fanfiction about men raping women and children thanks to special drugs and horrible surgeries legalized by other evil, sexually deviated men, still thinking about the right title, was thinking about "Die TERFs die"
Huh, sounds a lot like my upcoming book Heckin' Euphoric.

Giving him the GREATEST possible leniency with this take, I still can't make it make sense. He could have meant it, like, oh, the book is structured like a romance and fulfills the criteria in a warped way, but it really doesn't. As far as genre, it's like the great romance in Humbert's head keeps getting interrupted by B-movie plots about murder and road trips and comic hijinks. It's a sarcastic psycho thriller. There's not much of it that could even be misread as romantic or titillating because every time the narrator tries to set the mood, something so terrible or surprising happens that it kills it dead (like Humbert endlessly plotting how to kill Dolores' mom only for her to be plowed down by a car). It's like the antiromance novel because it's funny that Humbert doesn't even realize how much the story has gotten away from him and how much of a cosmic failure he is. This isn't a moral claim, it's a literary one. I'd have a much easier time calling it a comedy than a romance. But then I just think Nabokov is a funny guy.

I was so curious how he actually sees the book that I found all his references to it.

Lolita is about obsession, and specifically about narcissistic self-love. It's not his pedophilia alone that makes him noxious.

I actually agree here, that's a good way of putting it.

"... has had such a lasting impact on my visualization of intimacy and violation."

This instantly made me think of all the scenes in Manhunt where troons Fran and Beth vividly imagine being dominated by the TERFs trying to kill them or sucking out the female organs of their sexual conquests:
She kissed the pink bud of Sophie’s clit and imagined sucking it out of its hood of tender skin, drawing it like a snail from its shell into her own body where it might take root and change, drawing her cock up into her flesh, parting the soft curtains of her sex.
Her cock still burned with the memory of Viv’s fingers finding it, worming through her unzipped jeans to caress its stiffening length in the half-second before disgust curdled the other woman’s hungry expression, in the split second before Ramona staggered drunk out of the dark and stabbed Viv in the throat. That gaping wound, slick and pinkish red where the starlight touched its ragged lips. She imagined setting her lips to that fragile gash, tonguing its depths, kissing beads of sweat and blood off the wet landscape of its interior.

All this fetishization of violence is seen not as something that ought to make us recoil in horror because these are bad people. Everything wrong with them is because of society. They all have tragic, sexual abuse backstories, and the real women are just so, so mean to them, it's not their fault that they confuse violence with love. They learned it from you, lady-they-are-desperately-trying-to-crawl-inside-of! The message basically amounts to "just let them be women, and they wouldn't be this messed up."

If we saw them delivering their account of what happened to a jury of their peers, or to a book audience, as we do in Lolita, we would laugh at how transparent their self-pity was. But we're supposed to understand that they're doing everything out of fear and dysphoria and pity them.

The "violation" here is never what the troons are doing to others. It's always that they are being used by two-dimensional white women, and the sudden shock of realizing that white women don't want them like that is treated like a shot to the head, accompanied by literal gore as those white women get maimed.

Violations are also treated as negotiables, to Fran above, where Viv literally cries out "genital rape!" when she learns he has a dick, right before getting stabbed by another woman who is trying to protect Fran. Other main character Beth is hit with a rape accusation that Beth firmly believes is just because a girl regretted having sex with him.
The whole ride home she’d replayed her kiss with Meg and their hookup in the shower that same night. Did I put my fingers in her without asking? Did she pull away when I leaned in? The more she thought about it, imagining those soft lips opening around her tongue, those long lashes fluttering in dreamy anticipation, the more she realized that no specific moment, no single touch, was to blame. What mattered was that she’d broken the silent rule. She’d touched a girl before the girl touched her, had laid her violent hands on tender skin.

If you get ensnared into the briar patch of these characters' excuses, you will end up thinking of yourself as the villain. I don't actually think there is much to Manhunt other than wallowing in viscerally upsetting imagery, but if there's a pattern to it, it's that bad things happen when troons are told no, and somehow even though the troons murder several people, only sometimes in self-defense, they are still the biggest victims.

“A TERF tried to kill me,” she said spitefully, attempting not to relish the unassailable position of her victimhood too much.

I mean. It would be hysterical if it were an anti-trans satire. But.

Micah finds it relatable.

Thanks, James. Who can forget that horny moment when Humbert licks Lo's eyeball. Famously, Nabokov frontloaded the "erotic" writing, which takes place mostly when Humbert is sitting by himself and remembering his childhood, and lets the book spiral into self-parody after that. Nabokov writes that readers were "misled [by the opening chapters] ... into assuming this was going to be a lewd book ... [expecting] the rising succession of erotic scenes; when these stopped, the readers stopped, too, and felt bored."

I love that they're still acting like boycotting JKR is tenable after Hogwarts Legacy. No one cared. The illusion of strength has been zapped.

I said in the Manhunt thread that trying to analyse it was like trying to analyse F.A.T.A.L. because everything is in there to be real edgy and shocking and/or to give the writer an erection, and it's really not much deeper.

Boycotting JKR must have seemed like a reasonable idea when the last Fantastic Beasts flopped, but they clearly didn't understand why it flopped.

He claims he "clawed his way" out of being poor. but attended a private college that charges $50000 a year?
more bullshit lies, just like his name.

Did he get some kind of scholarship with his white male privilege?
(If so, shame on you Micah!--you stole it from black women!)

Micah hates black women so much, probably gets off on that idea.

PS: If your next novel ignores black ppl again, we are coming for you, racist fat boy! :optimistic:

He did seem a history nerd from his tumblr. The fact that he studied it at university pisses me off though. His novella about the witch trials is quite bad from a historical perspective. It should have been the perfect thing for him: history and English, yet it is a total failure

This instantly made me think of all the scenes in Manhunt where troons Fran and Beth vividly imagine being dominated by the TERFs trying to kill them or sucking out the female organs of their sexual conquests:
Also the entirety of the Evangelion-fanfic (Dreadnought) where teen girls literally go inside the womb of these humanoid creatures and the protagonist really wants to fuck one/fuse with one

Also, of course the one who does so is the "trans girl." Also, we don't have the resources to treat cancer, but vaginoplasty is still an option.

I never considered it like that, interesting. I always viewed it as Humbert literally performing an extended megacope the entire book. My face literally looked like Humbert's in my profile picture when I read about he finds the book to be RELATABLE and how Lolita enjoyed her own abuse. The latter is an opinion I have seen many people fooled into by Humbert's magnificent framing and prose, but the former is just WILD. I know I am Humbert and all, but this is just something else.

I'd also like to point out that I don't know where the fuck he's getting any of this "romance" shit from, because Humbert Humbert is absolutely fucking MISERABLE for the entire book except when he's abusing/about to abuse Lolita. I could sperg all day about this literary masterpiece, but nowhere near the way this dude is.

I feel like we're gonna get pics in this very thread of his hard drive wheeled out by the feds one day.

I feel like part of this is an obbession with "agency." In midwit literary anaylsis agency=good. If we accept that Lolita is a child being taken on a dark, mad journey by her rapist, then no, she doesn't have much agency. Because she's literally a kidnapped child. Now, people with working souls will recognise that children do in fact have less agency than grownups, and just because a character doesn't have much agency doesn't make them badly written. Because sometimes, in fiction and real life, people don't get agency. They're just victimised.

Now, if you're desperate to shock your coomed-out brain into squirting a little more dopamine, you can pretend Lolita is somehow an equal participant in her and Humbert's "romance" and justify wanking over it. You remove the idea of victimisation, under the guise of trying to "empower" victims, so suddenly rape and child abuse are just '"kinky."

TLDR: Micah is a fucking pervert, and he justifies this by pretending actually feeling sorry for raped children is disrespecting them or something.

Lolita isn’t horrifying. Lolita is the story of the dog that caught the car: Humbert, who lives largely in a fantasy world, finally gets the opportunity to turn his ultimate fantasy (where he will freely love a beautiful young nymphette) into reality, but once it happens, he realizes that teenage girls are fucking annoying. As it turns out, Humbert’s darling Lolita is just a stupid girl, obsessed with stupid girl things, and not remotely close to his childhood fantasy. He still needs her for two reasons, though — he needs to coom, and he needs to be right about everything.

I’m kind of wondering if Micah has actually read the book…if he had, maybe he would have heeded its warnings.
