Sony hate thread

Really felt like the PS4 generation was the beginning of the end for gaming's integrity.
It wasn't the PS4 but rather the release of TLOU. Sony got badly addicted to the never ending fawning, gushing, praise that game got for being so deep and mature (TM) that they quite literally stopped making fun or interesting games in favor of "cinematic" emotionally manipulative movie games.

You can actually see this in real time. After the release of TLOU Sony's first party exclusive releases drop by like 75%

Aside from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Ghosts of Tsushima, it says a lot that Nioh 1 & 2 and Bloodbourne were the only two games that I wanted to get for the PS4 when the PS5 started to become the one console to replace it.

If anything, back to the PS4, you don’t even see most people talking about how Drakengard 3 was a thing, even when the first two games were on the PS2.

It's a PS3 game though, that has very very bad performance. They released it with the blue branding of the ps4 though, I think there were a few 2014 games that had branding to look like its a PS4 game though for some reason. Square re-printed it along with Nier (Gestalt) a few years later after Nier Automata came out. You can get Drakengard 3 and Nier sealed for like 30 bucks now because of that.

This sounds similar to the automated behavior systems that Riot Games and Ubisoft are working on, and it's probably going to end up the same way.

Yakuza is SEGA, they aren't really beholden by the Snoy to keep the franchise exclusive, especially since it's extremely popular on PC
There was a time when they were very closely tied to playstation though. Yakuza 5 only got localized due to Sony's help at a time when SEGA were about to give up on the franchise. It's just another symptom of sony completely giving up their japanese ties to chase hollywood down the drain

People have already stopped using any form of ingame chat because they just get banned for doing so. You can be banned from Halo MCC for typing in chat to shoot someone, in the M rated video game about shooting people. The only game I've played that has actual active chat use is like CSGO, because Valve isn't going to ban you for thinking.

I dont why they used those picture but I laughed.

It's crazy to me how the PS5 is like two years old as has less than ten exclusive titles.

More proof to me Sony doesn't give a shit and is way more interested in chasing ESG funding than making games.

Microsoft is also eating their fucking lunch with studio acquisitions.

I know a lot of people shit on Bethesda but Fallout and Elder Scrolls are massively popular so future entries in those franchises not being on Sony consoles is a planet sized L. CDPR is also allegedly considering making mostly PC exclusive titles in the future too.

Honestly surprised no one talks about yakuza given that series was ps only up until kiwami 2 on pc.
There are plenty of japanese franchises that used to be synonymous with Playstation (various audiences bought a Playstation console for them) until years ago, which now are available on PC and on the current Nintendo ecosystem. Amongst them:
Earth Defense Force
Atelier
Disgaea
Persona
Nier
Super Robot Wars
Hatsune Miku Project DIva
Ys
Legend of Heroes
Pro Yakyuu (baseball game for japanese normalfags)
Vanillaware stuff (13 Sentinels, Grimgrimoire)

Even small-sized japanese titles stick to PC and Switch as main platforms these days, often skipping out Playstation.

I've noticed that too in BF2042, even after DICE re-added the "all chat" option, nobody use it.

I think the funniest thing is when you go and look up lists of exclusive games for it, and then see results from a year ago listing timed exclusives that are now on PC and all. It's almost like seeing a console library actually get smaller each year. But hey, at least it's still got, uh...Demon's Souls? Horizon 2 and God of War 2? Astro's Playroom?
