They transition for a variety of reasons, not all of them understood. I always point to Leadhead's transition video as a great piece to get some insight into some of the reasons why they do this. He is surprisingly candid about some of the shallow reasons why...

A lot of trooning is a fetish thing, but quite a bit of it is these men perceiving women as some exalted thing to be and that men are all pig animals (influenced by media the last 25+ years). They see being a woman as a perk in life. An extra safety net. A way to avoid the high expectations and performance on men. He even says directly in his video "Everyone looked to me as a man to fix things or solve problems and it was too much pressure. As a woman I can be free from that and aloof and be taken care of" (paraphrased).

As others have touched on, many of them share the same traits - autistic, higher than average intelligence but usually wasted... Hyper focused on some dumb thing like speedrunning, gaming, anime... Porn addict for 10-20 years, weed everyday, lazy, hedonist focus in life, attention seeking, selfish...

When you think about the messages society has been sending about men and women, their lazy hedonistic goals, and all their traits and hang ups it starts to really make sense why its happening. A lot of them aren't even really deluding themselves they are real women, they just want all the perceived advantages and a cushy easy life. They might go along with the real woman movement but many know its not really true. They just want all the support possible to continue living like this.

This is just one aspect of it though. There are so many other motivations and reasons for the sports scene, and the ones actually mentally ill and think they actually are women. It really shows how fucking stupid most of society is and how easily influenced people are despite all the worlds knowledge at their fingertips. They choose to be ignorant and affirmed by likes and attention online to encourage "their truth".

I think its sort of funny how a women centered, overly emphatic society is now eating itself. Not all behavior is natural and good. There are limits to empathy and affirming someone's poor choices.

The particular rationale you mentioned for transitioning - some opportunistic and/or mentally ill guy thinks, "oh, women have it so easy, I want to be just like them...no, I want to be one of them...no, I want to be even better" - is just the trendy edgy version of plain old misogyny. That Chris guy from Mr. Beast* is, I suspect, one of this type of person - motivated by anti-women feeling and jealousy over perceived societal power/special (pedestal) treatment.

My working theory is guys like this are just trying to win through passive lifestyle choices what they wrongly perceive they won't be able to earn because poor downtrodden white men (even when they have already earned it, like this guy).

TL; DR: Those who think like this just hate women as much as your basic redpilled incel, but have the benefit of certain luck/talent/circumstance and are practiced in the opportunistic arts, and their views should not be taken seriously.

I've had no less than four people randomly bring this up in my workplace without prompting at different times, three customers and today a beer distributer that was told by other establishments on his route that this has definitely had an effect on their sales, I've noticed it myself from the lack of Bud coming in every delivery.

Its rare that I hear about a cow IRL after learning about them on the farms, this is only the third time I can recall. I guess Dylan's getting his wish of wider notoriety.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s considered toxic at present. Ironically, I think a lot of people first discovered him because of this colossal Bud fuckup, and you don’t want a spokesperson who’s primarily associated with failure. He seems to have pissed every demographic off.
