I think this is why you see such polar opposites on Trisha takes.
While Trisha is undeniably a lolcow, she's also a troll. She's deliberately done stupid shit to rile people up, and has mocked social justice darlings by e.g. doing racist impressions or pretending to be a trans man (which still hilariously comes up with pronoun confusion in articles trying to he/him her, since she never recanted and you can't prove she's any less valid than anyone else).
Hence why a lot of people here have a soft spot for her, while on Reddit they seethe. There's more hatred on Reddit towards Trisha, who has a modicum of self awareness when she's not balls to the wall personality disordered and is also able to mock Current Day, vs Chris-Chan post-Barb-Rape, since despite literally raping his mother, he's genuine in his delusions and isn't deliberately making fun of social justice or being problematic (just yknow, committing disgusting elder abuse).
Thing is a lot of what she's done wasn't trolling, but it gets written off as such. Her "I'm transgender" phase was legitimate, she wasn't doing that to troll the trans community. I don't have the videos on hand, but I remember her explaining that she made the claim because she didn't truly feel like a female but like "a male drag queen". She was entirely serious about this. She backed away from the trans claim when the backlash happened, but as far as I know she has never said it was trolling and she has never recanted the claim.
It's a perfect example of something she's done that people
think is trolling but actually isn't. Another example from recent times is her embracing every religion under the sun all at once. (Hare Krishna, Judaism, Wicca, etc.) People seem to think it's fake because it so closely resembles her past trolling, but if you watch her you can tell her interest in "dumb white bitch spirituality" is serious and she has held her interest in these things over the long term.
She is as genuine in some of her delusions as Chris Chan, she just understands the public image game well enough to be Schrödinger's Troll: If people approve of it and it makes her look good, it's genuine. If it's retarded and people criticize her for it, it was trolling it was just a joke ha ha why are you being so serious?
When she has attempted to open up about herself and it has failed and hurt her image ("I support Donald Trump." "I'm trans.") she magicwands it away by either outright claiming it was a joke or by leaving it ambiguous enough for her fans to do the work for her to excuse it as trolling. To be honest it's a brilliant way to protect one's image as a public figure, and given her personality it's no surprise to me that she relies on it.
I think her supporters, especially Kiwis here on the Farms, don't want to believe it because they see her as their beloved, trolly Based Queen who fucked Ethan Klein over, so the fact that she's a legitimately retarded cow is a truth too painful to accept. Also probably the simple fact that she hasn't been documented here much at all, so perhaps it's just ignorance, or a combination of both.
I haven't bothered to contribute much about her even though I've followed her for years because I don't see her being particularly lolworthy in the future, but perhaps a writeup of her past behavior to fill in the blanks would be worthwhile so there can be a better picture of who she is.
