Earlier a Kiwi was wondering about Wu's mention of a second book in 2016. The second book is this:

Wu has a chapter in Women in Game Development: Breaking the Glass Level-Cap.

Unlike the previous book I won't be able to get my hands on this one, mainly because it has not been published as an ebook.

Here's the TOC from the publisher's site:

The first chapter is available also from the publisher's website: https://www.crcpress.com/downloads/173907/Chapter_1.zip

How credible is a book that features no fewer than four professional victims?

Leigh Alexander was involved in game development? :story:

Last I heard she had the whiskey fingers so bad she couldn't type for more than half an hour.

Jennifer Hepler is generally disliked by many gamers because whenever she touched a Bioware franchise it started to go to shit.

Why would anyone pay $55 for a PAPERBACK (even most hardcovers don't charge that much) filled with a list of people no one has heard of? The only "famous" names on that list are women who haven't developed a single fucking game.

Typical SJW bullshit - get a bunch of self-professed "experts" together to crap some half-assed project out and expect people to pay out the nose for it by virtue of being e-famous and possessing a vagina.

She probably wants to see if her shitty podcast has more listeners then some half-way known radio show.

Ten internet bucks that Wu submitted the same fucking story as in the other book.

She only has the one story.

"IM A GENIUS AND GAMERGATE WANTS TO KILL ME!"

Other than that she has pretty much nothing.

Is Roberta Williams in a coma or something that you'd have a book about women in video games and somehow leave her out?
video games didn't exist before 2005
also roberta isn't a super important internet crusader so she has internal muhsoggyknees

no wonder people like wu think there are no other women in her field.. she can't be arsed to actually look them up
like that radio thing, can't bother

I do believe it's time for me to engage in some clandestine naval action.

"Professional Journalist" who can't fucking work a search engine, ladies and gentlemen.

FFXIV Update: She's finally levelling Thaumaturge, i assume for swiftcast but i don't want to be mansumptuous.

Edit: Oh hey, she has a new Free company now, Sins Of The Fallen (ouch the edge), which one of these chuckle-fucks do you think is Frank?

Also, Carol Shaw who designed and programmed River Raid for the Atari 2600. River Raid is the great-grandfather of vertically scrolling shooter games, an iconic game which Shaw programmed in assembly language. Shaw also designed Happy Trails for the Intellivision.

Maybe this is just for Women In Games (tm), not people who acutally contributed to the development of games and happen to be women.
