I think the comparisons to John and Yoko are unwarranted. Even discounting that we now know the break-up of The Beatles because of Yoko was just a journoswine myth, there are a lot of problems with the comparison.

Nothing wrong with being frugal and fashion isn't everything of course, but if I was in that position I'd at least like to treat myself to some luxuries. If I want an average life, being frugal and going out with friends, I don't need to spread my ass online for that.
