I think the "real gore" drama was the dumbest part of all that honestly. Like "Ooh he took a picture of a real brain on pavement but downscaled it to 16x16 pixels so you can't even tell what it is! Well, that and they were all uberleftists even back then so Mark's weird BR Natsoc leanings might as well have made him the community's equivalent of Hitler.

The answer to his point about Candice, Rachel and Weasel are simple. Not sure what Candice did and to what extent to keep the forums running, but being able to help in making sure the forums are up and running doesn't guarantee moderation position, and a forum rank should not be considered as a reward. You don't get to be a police, or a judge that quickly just because you helped some things in your city to run smoothly. It doesn't help that Rachel of all people is the one who gave the promotion.

Rachel's situation is kinda the same, but a mix of both Candice and Weasel. Not all webmasters get to be forum mods. They just watch if the mods are doing their job, or hell, some don't even do a thing at all except to run the whole place. Since Weasel is funding the forums, he can probably call the shots. Either replace Rachel with somebody else or make sure he only helps runs the place but no moderations, that's it. Rachel has proven himself twice that he shouldn't even be given any position whatsoever, since he has the true markings of a reddit powermod.

Though there goes the next problem, since these three are in cahoots together. One of them needs to at least fix up but if I'm asked for my figurative cents, I don't think that would happen. There's a track record of these kind of people being power-control freaks. It's a possible catch-22 situation, and they may be better off imitating Resetera which is to leave in droves and create their own forums, with hopes of the issue not arising again. Unless they can find people who can replace all of them, or at least make them accountable and have transparency.

But who am I kidding, their forum and users is infested with that very ideology that got them all there. There's a good chance that something like this will come back in time, like it or not. Unless they disallow politics or just run like how early Web 1.0-2.0 ran, they're getting nowhere. I think they all just need a no-nonsense tard wrangler.

There's been a long push to add more barriers to registration, at least since Rachael became the admin of the forums. This went as far as a short period in 2018 where registration was completely closed. The only way you could get an account was to go onto the discord server and ask Rachael to open an account for you. This got reverted quickly when a couple users shit on it extremely hard.

I just want to archive something extra from the archive that eric posted, the "ad" that Bank had made in the thread where he talks about leaving the Skulltag staff (then using the username SoulPriestess). I think it shows full well that even 13 years later, not a single fucking thing has changed about Rachael.
