It got them to scramble on their asses and put up a statement, and get them backed into a corner, at least maybe temporarily. At the thread only Caligari and some mod is bothering to fix stuff and talk to everyone there. Rachel and his posse have shut up.

And call me a schizo devil but I'd want them to do just that and get Marisa back. The more insane they look the bigger the chances they'd kill their own forum and implode on their own lunacy like NeoGAF. Or at least make it obvious to many people that ZDoom forums is nothing but a nuthouse. I think it's not only us saving receipts.

Funny thing is Rachel I remember saying he dislikes how Resetera handles things or the site itself. Guess not all crazy people get along, I thought otherwise because he would fit in there.

Is it just me or is there an alarmingly high amount of people who latch on and keep a Touhou character based monicker online that end up being the biggest pieces of shits and problem people? I didn't know this person personally but it really is becoming something I've noticed with people I've known online in certain communities on Steam and Discord, twitter here and there.

Touhou's been infested with those people for years. It has a coomertastic fanbase and the characters consisting of all girls do not help.

It wasn't like this until Tumblr/Twitter found Touhou. It's especially bad since they'll usually 'headcanon' a character (usually Marisa, imagine my fucking shock) as trans in a world where all the characters are female. It goes without saying only the western fans are like this.

Speaking of, we should get a Touhou thread going. And by we I mean someone else.

I was gonna say, it wasn't nearly as bad this time 10 years ago. You had the odd weirdo but it was mostly TF2 MMDs (Gaben Stole The Precious Thing ,etc.) and remixes, not sexual predators.
At the risk of OT, what sparked this?

I don't know exactly, but I can tell you it's the same thing that sparked the rise of troonism in countless other hobbies/fandoms. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a thread on Deep Thoughts or Stinkditch asking this same question (that goes beyond canned responses like "oh, well anime/autism makes you gay").

Or are you talking about Touhou autism in general, not just trannies? Because that's simple. It's just like Sonic, MLP, and Homestuck trolls where all the characters look very similar and it's tempting/easy to create donut steels. Then just throw in yurifags since everyone's female.

Feels like the more ubiquitous/less gatekept something is, the chances of troon infestation becomes exponential. Outside of that I can't say there's any root cause, it's more like a snowball rolling downhill with the way troons start to clump together to form their hugboxes and thus control communities and narratives.
