Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

This has to be the final Mando episode right? Or at least the start of a much needed break? Where could they really take the story now, especially since I have to assume they'll save the Remnant drama for the bastardization of the Thrawn Trilogy.
It's all buildup for the Ahsoka show and the Mando movie.

And if I'm right, they're probably building up Mandalore as the replacement for the Jedi and the New Republic. Since both are fuck-ups in the Sequel Trilogy, and Filoni's job is to make the ST more palatable after it was rejected by the fans, you need to have a good guy force that isn't dropping the idiot ball to "make the Sequels more bearable". So I suppose the Mando-fans win in this new timeline, with the Mandalorians, not the Alliance, New Republic, or the Jedi, being the main force for the good guys in the ST years. Especially since by creed, they can take in as many people as they want and armor them up in beskar so long as they follow DA WAE. Now that Mandalore is theirs again, they have all the beskar they can possibly need.

So one can just imagine a large Mandalorian army supplemented by recruits (as opposed to those meanie fascists in the First Order or those religious Jedi taking kids by force) being the group that finally frees the galaxy from the First Order and the Final Order after Rey "kills" ol' Creamy Sheev.

I guess the one positive thing I have to say is that I did think Gideon's armor was a neat design, and if this was pre Last Jedi it would have probably sold very well.
I've seen people calling for figures of that and the Imperial beskar trooper designs.

I've finally decided to do some research in Jedi Survivor and found out the "main villain"(There is no fucking way the plot isn't going to pivot to Vader or the Emperor or something) is a Gen'Dai like old Durge. I realize I'm late to the party on this one but my apathy can be pretty strong.

This Rayvis dude looks pretty cool, I'm very sad we have to play as Cal and his lame girlfriend while all the cool characters are regulated to fodder.

after that buttfuck degenerate travesty of a novel, I don't feel like playing Survivor anymore.

Interesting, this wasn't the case with the previous season. Filoni only co-wrote episodes on this one too (notably the two I've seen people react more positively to than others).

I don't necessarily disagree with the filler remark, especially with most of episodes 3 and 6. It's not like the New Republic were in a rush to take Pershing up on his offer, so that whole sequence didn't really need to happen. You could've easily introduced Kane in some other way that didn't involve spending the majority of an episode on a planet which in no way effects the retaking of Mandalore.

The whole series is filler. None of this shit matters. In 15 years Palpatine will come back somehow and Rey will be all the Jedi, Luke will be a green milk walrus cuck who never scored. The Mandos won't have done shit during the sequels because there is no plan.

Speaking of, Bo is in her like what, 50s? 60s? at this point? Have they bothered addressing how she looks younger than Boba despite being older?

This is the way.

I know this isn’t Star Wars related since it’s mostly Lucasfilm related, but does anyone know where I can watch Young Indiana Jones at? Paramount owns that series surprisingly and I move been curious to watch it for a long time.

I don't want this honest request getting lost in the wave of Soy Cope; Sadly I don't.
Google says you can get the first season for $2 on amazon.

Oh, we all know what they'll be doing. A lot of shows or cartoons that go "akcshually, the Mandos were totally saving the galaxy while the Jedi and the New Republic were asleep on the wheel, man!"

It's like what they did with Ahsoka; making it so that she was actually around in an era when there were supposed to be no more Jedi outside of Luke. Especially when the Sequels end at a point where the galaxy is still in rebellion against the First Order; they'll have it so that the Mandalorians do the clean-up duty after Sheev "dies" at Rey's hands and have them play a crucial role in the final victory against the First Order and Final Order.

Maybe it's Maybelline.

Eh, the Imperium isn't villains. Neither are the Eldar and Tau. It is just a fandom meme that jewtube idiots repeat like clapping seals.

Perhaps one can even add orks there, or put them and necrons into the more neutral 3rd role alongside Votann.

They are the well intentioned extremists to foil the true villains, Chaos, Dark Eldar and nids.

It is just the setting that even the well intentioned extremists are way worse then most others' baddies.

You might have to just torrent it. Young Indy is kind of buried in obscurity--it hasn't even seen much of a wide distribution since the DVD re-issue (where it was re-edited as a batch of films with the Old Indy sections taken out), which is why they're climbing in price.

What I can tell you is that the episodes with young adult Indy (Sean-Patrick Flannery) have aged really, really well. I'm saving the whole series for when Dial of Destiny comes out, but the episodes I saw up till the WWI Arc were damn good, and make for a really cool historical anthology series.

If there's one thing I miss the most from the EU other than the Old Republic, it's non-force users being deadlier than most Sith or Jedi through sheer skill. Is that the case here or is he some force user?

I watched this over the last week. Like most of you, I thought it was pretty bad. I think for The Mandolin to work long term, it needs to have a Star Trek TNG sort of structure, where there is continuity, but the show is episodic and Mando goes to a new weird planet every week and meets new and weird people and solves their problem in a self contained, one hour story. How many times do we need to see him talk to the cringey junkyard lady on Tatooine? It feels like a circle jerk where he goes the the same places and the same faces keep showing up again and again in a giant galaxy where there are supposed to be literally trillions of people. Worst of all, it feels like the main character has taken a back seat to those faces.

Ironically, the finale seems to set up a more episodic season four. However, I don't think they're going to do it, as they love their mystery boxes.

It's funny, because the the Lizo episode structurally reminded me of TOS. The crew would often go to a planet they had never been to before, get stuck, solve a mystery and then leave never to return again. Plus, Jack Black was giving off some serious Harry Mudd vibes. I do think the sort of episode structure in this episode in particular would work well for the series if the episodes were well written. Obviously in this case, the episode was not well written with Lizo's scenes being particularly poorly written and acted.

I think I'm done with these Disney+ shows now. They started good with the original season of the Mandalorian, but every show gets progressively worse. Mando season one was good. Season two was good, but cracks were starting to show. Book of Boba Fett took what could have been a decent hour and a half movie about Fett escaping the sarlac pit and living with sand people and stretched it into ten fucking hours with a bunch of anal leakage from Mando. Obi Wan was literally just 3-4 visually cool scenes between Obi Wan and Vader that broke continuity buried in hours upon hours of unwatchable shit. Mando season three was pointless and stupid.
never scored

I thought the main bad guy was supposed to be an old high republic Jedi they put in stasis jail for some reason and he's working with the big guy.

I like cal. He's no captain charisma but he has a plucky charm to him that works. It helps that it emphatically shows he barely has any kind of training in using the lightsaber for melee. He's great at blaster deflection and fighting basic stuff, but anytime he gets Into a duel he just barely manages to survive. There's only like three times he fights a lightsaber force wielder and he gets his ass utterly handed to him by Vader. His companions are unmemorable but I liked the night sister for the 20 mins we know of her.

I will be surprised if it gets mentioned much beyond that one guy getting his arm cut off. Whole thing reads like some rushed slap dash fanfic uncoordinated with the main game. Like most things Disney.

Besides they openly contradict book and comic lore all the dam time. Remember Yoda's light saber and the fate of kanans master? Not saying they won't make her a lustful bisexual but feels out of place compared to the last games writing. (Who's got writing credit for the sequel?)

I don't think he's a force user. It looks like there's a decent amount of bounty hunters like the last game and at least one of them has a custom lightsaber.

What can they do at this point? They don't understand Star Wars' core values, all they see is a sci-fi show made with WW2 aesthetics, so they'll go full-throttle with it.

I doubt anyone who hasn't played Galaxies would know who the Novatroopers are. The closest you can get to a Novatrooper with the current Black Series is the Umbra Operative clone figure:

Here's the context in all of its ugly glory. But I'll warn you right now--this book is autistic Wattpad slashfic tripe published under the cloak of an official Star Wars banner.

Nothing else published under the Disney regime--be it Aftermath, Last Shot, The Rise of Skywalker novelization, and even all of the High Republic combined--compares to how unyielding awful this is.

Better keep your voice down with that kind of talk. If there's one thing the EU Readerbase hates, it's the notion of non-Force Sensitive combatants fighting on-par or even better than their Sith or Jedi peers.

I mean, fuck, just whisper the words "Mandalorian" or "Karen Traviss" in the right forum, and you'll see more salt erupt than a Dead Sea geyser.

Black on yellow (or vice versa) is always a winning look.

And the reason I bring that up is because, apparently, this new Fallen Order novel is so fucking bad, that even the fandom's biggest no-standard, Mouse-fellating, tasteless consoomer Disney Drones can't put a positive spin on it...that even they are all coming together to lament how unreadable it is, and reads like Wattpad-tier fanfiction.
I found the exception.
