What you may not know is that the attack went well beyond Twitter.
The hackers have managed to gain access to, well, everything, including twenty years of Matt's emails.
What scandalous information will the hackers find in Matt's email? I do not know. I'm sure I said things in my twenties that I wouldn't feel great having aired publicly.
What will @realDailyWire's response be to things 20-year-old Matt may have said?

This hack, as terrible and invasive as it is, is just another day at the office for us.
Here is a brief look at just the last 48 hours @realDailyWire.
First, @MattWalshBlog was demonetized on @YouTube for violating some opaque, arbitrarily applied standard or another related to speaking the biological truth about Dylan Mulvaney.
I can't be more specific because the capriciousness is the point for these platforms.
Just 24 hours later, @imbrettcooper was PERMANENTLY BANNED from @tiktok_us.
Her crime?
I don't know, because, again, the capriciousness is the point.
At the exact moment @MattWalshBlog was being hacked by criminals, @michaeljknowles was being evacuated from @PittTweet because of a violent riot protesting his speech in which trans activists and sundry other leftists BURNED MICHAEL IN EFFIGY and tussled with police.
That's just the last 48 hours, and that's in addition to all of the usual death threats, harassment, and corporate targeting that are our daily companions @realDailyWire.
Do assholes on the right make death threats against, say, @AOC? Sure. And damn them for it.
The difference for us is that virtually every institution in public life agrees we should be removed and silenced.
Tech giants like @YouTube, @facebook, @tiktok_us, and - until @elonmusk wrote a check - @Twitter, flagging, banning, throttling, shadow banning, and demonetizing us is a constant occurrence.
We're continually fact checked. Almost all of the fact checks are removed on appeal, btw, but not before they have the desired effect of stunting our reach and effectiveness and making it impossible to earn revenue.
Billionaire-funded non-profits like @mmfa pay people to post out-of-context clips from our shows and to pressure advertisers not to spend money with us.
The entire advertising industry creates bogus, euphemistic policies to "protect brand safety" by discouraging advertising on shows with "controversial political opinions."
BTW: If you're openly pro-choice, that's not a controversial political opinion that could compromise brand safety.
If you're pro-life, that is.
This means we don't get any so-called brand advertisers - the ones who pay almost double.
Think about that. If we were on the left, and all of our positions were CERTIFIED BRAND SAFE!, we would make almost twice as much money. Twice as much to pay staff, healthcare, rent, marketing, growth...
The advertisers we do get - the ones who believe Americans who think what every American thought five seconds ago still deserve good products - have to be brave enough to stand up against all of the organized pressure that comes their way.
All this while also dealing with organizations like @HubSpot, @jwplayer, @eventbrite, and many other backend infrastructure companies who take our money and then decide we don't deserve to use their services and kick us off their platforms.
Why do they hate us? Well, because we're free. We're one of the last truly independent media companies. The majority and controlling interest in this company is held by @benshapiro, Caleb Robinson, and me. No one can tell us what to publish, what to say, what to do.
No investor or board of directors can maneuver us into acquiescing to their demands or expressing their values. We only express our own.
And we're smart.
We don't let the machinations of the left force our hand.
@YouTube wants to keep @MattWalshBlog from being able to monetize because they know it will drastically stunt his growth and make his content far less viral.
They expect us to throw a fit and play right into their hands.
We won't.
We'll play smart. We'll continue to say what we believe, but we won't let them minimize us and bar our access to two billion potential users.
We're not in it for catharsis; we're in it for victory.
And, of course, we'll leverage our influence to hold @YouTube, @tiktok_us, and all the rest accountable.
We'll press our claims in court, though government, and with the public.
We won't make it easy for them to make us less successful and less effective.
#Nope.
And that's what they hate the most: not only do we say what we believe, not only do we find a way to continue to succeed on their platforms, but we win.
Daily Wire and @benshapiro sue the Biden Admin to stop the OSHA Vax Mandate, and win.
@MattWalshBlog works to change laws around the mutilation of children, and he wins.
We launch new companies like @JeremysRazors to compete with the woke hegemony, and we win.
That's what keeps us fighting.
We believe success is possible. Not promised, not easy. Possible.
We believe we can preserve our values for another generation.
And we're having a damn good time doing it.
Hell, I'm looking forward to pressing charges on the Walsh hackers!

Tangentially related, but Dave Landau appeared on the Michael Malice podcast and talks about some of the DW drama behind the scenes and his falling out with Crowder. It's nothing exceedingly scandalous, and while he's polite, he does essentially say Crowder can be a sperg.

That part about Crowder having a rant button to make everyone else be quiet is kind of cringe but doesn't surprise me. Crowder seems just insecure enough to do that.
Crowder screaming "I own you!" at Landau when he said he wanted to quit is especially ironic given that Crowder went into histrionics over Daily Wire's "slave" contract.

All this does is retroactively prove that the Daily Wire were the ones who were justified in this and that Crowder was being a histrionic faggot.
There's a reason why Not Gay Jared, Quarter Black, now Dave etc... all end up leaving and the bridges are completely burned afterwards. Not something that happens with the Daily Wire. And I say that as someone who watched Crowder until he just came back and hasn't watched the DW in years.

This is why I didn't want to take sides back then, as everyone in show business is a cunt.
I don't think it proves DW right, they still offered a shit contract, but it does prove Crowder wrong in that he was just being a dick for clicks as he was pulling the same exact shit himself and all of it was boilerplate.

Landaus interview was excellent in being very objective and you can tell he still is conflicted because he even says he saw the good in Crowder, but like he said he’s a guy who used to be bullied who is now a bully.
Anyone who watched the show the past two years knows Crowder did have an inferiority complex with Landau in terms of comedy but the speed doesn’t realize you make up for that in being politically acute.
It is really telling that despite Landau confirming Crowder is a drama queen sperg, I will still watch him over lil Ben every time because Ben is that much of an astroturf phony.

Wow, sorry to double-post, but I just finished the podcast and it got worse.
At 1:32:00 Landau reveals that Steven demanded he take down this Normal World video and give Steven the rights to it. There were Crowder employees in the video, and they told Dave if he didn't take it down, they would fire all the employees. That seems super underhanded and psycho.

Change My Mind is still a great segment, and he probably thinks he owes Crowder a bit as when he's talking about his comedy shows, he does mention how not being able to promote his show on Crowder's show tanked ticket sales. No matter how good you are as a comedian, if you can't get visibility it doesn't matter and Dave gets that which shows he's a pretty good dude as opposed to claiming it was all him all the time.
I haven't really watched either, though I'll sometimes watch some of the DW shows like Michael Knowles and others. Crowder's comedy never appealed to me.

He's had some weird moments over the years. I don't watch him much anymore because he's become more and more hyper and the high-pitched yelling / ranting style I can't take much of.
But the thing Dave said about him installing a "don't talk" light to tell Dave when to be quiet reminded me of this clip. These guys are annoying, but I'd never be able to find the time stamp in the actual show... it's right after 2:35.
There's also this weird clip that many have celebrated as Crowder mentioning he was bisexual in the past. Even in context, it doesn't make much sense in any other way, but maybe he was just trying to make a joke that didn't land. At 7:42.
To be fair, I also stopped listening to Ben Shapiro... he seems just a little annoying and often tries to score points with lefties with stuff like the Nick Sandmann thing and the Bubba Wallace noose.

You know, I don't know if I'm thinking of this clip specifically or not, but I do remember Crowder flapping his arms and telling people to shut up during his show. Might not be more common than it would appear when you're not aware of the don't talk buttons.
I've stopped really following most right wing shows, as it feels like the pop culture stuff is always dragged out far too long and the news guys are always claiming either the world is ending or their enemies have fallen, but everything is back to the norm a week later. Granted, that last bit might be the norm for news these days as I've heard Putin and China are one minute from collapse every day of the week for the last six months. I'm just tired of being outrage baited or being told how "the plan" is working better than ever.
I think that's why I've liked Michael Knowles lately, he seems to just report the news without much commentary and then does variety stuff on separate shows where he's doing trivia or whatever.

That's what I meant. Not that the DW contract was great, just that it was industry standard and that crowder is being a hypocrite and is just as bad and not on his moral high horse like he pretended he was, defending 'the little guy'
Edit: Didn't make it to the part where he told Landau to either take down something he made with his own money or give the rights to Crowder because some of his employees were involved (for free) or that he'd fire all the employees.
That's worse than anything I've heard the DW do. Fuck Crowder, never watching him again. Shows that all of his religiosity is just bullshit, he's just a grifting drama kid.
