The way people view taxes in the US is completely out of whack. So many people especially on the left view them as some kind of fairness punishment.

Oh that guy makes a lot of money he should have to pay a higher percent than me even though he is already paying 100x what I pay every year.

The issue with that tweet is that they don't get the point of a meme.

From those pictures alone, based on the use of them before, I can immediately get what the poster is saying, without a word being expressed. That's the point.

"The right" doesn't need to make a new meme or word or definition every five minutes to express the same idea, and so these images retain their usefulness even after 7 years.
