I guess I'm on graf watch today, since I'm interested in the technical side of things. The Fishtank devs did a screenshare during this morning's meeting, and the bandwidth calculations are on par with what Null said earlier.

6 petabytes for one stream is more than "we set the bitrate a little high". He later says "a realistic estimate for this is at least 50PB/mo".
Summary: He's still claiming he can do it for under $10k a month. Poast's datacenter devs say they can do it, the center's owner is a fan of Sam, and they also think someone sold a bad bandwidth deal to Fishtank because they didn't know what they were doing.
Also, the Fishtank dev got back with the day 1 peak. Either someone metered it wrong or their streaming setup is insanely unoptimized.
