Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

What is the Russian equivalent of the Medal of Honor known as?

And are there video games in the works in Russia based on this war?

Or even Z skin mods for Call of Duty and Battlefield games.
The closest would be a RST about Syria. https://youtu.be/NCUVMp4NT40 It's a really interesting and complex RTS that on steam. Maybe they make one for the recent conflict. You can follow the storyline of a few Syrian families and Russians

Ummmm, not quite "all"......

It's a damn shame that the US went with the Abrams over the monstrosity that was the MBT-70.
Thats only part of why german public transit sucks. Many people from outside europe would point out to it, claiming how good and punctual it is... when it sucks. I am not even talking about mainline speeds, the continued closing and dismantling of branchlines means more and more people are reliant on cars. If it takes thirty minutes to reach next train station by a bus, why even bother?
It's practically divine compared to public transport in the UK, which is probably the worst in Europe and is only saved from being the worst of the developed world by the Americans.

"Berlin had offered to deploy three Patriot units to Poland last year to help secure the Polish air space following the death of two men after a Ukrainian missile struck one of its villages, Przewodow, in November 2022."

"However, these air defence systems deployments will now come to an end this year."

"Funke media group quoted the German spokesman saying that Berlin will be pulling out the missiles because it wants to "make the best possible use of its limited military resources." "

"He said Poland and Slovakia have already been informed about the decision, and while the Patriot missiles in Poland will be withdrawn by June, the ones in Slovakia will be pulled out by the end of this year."

"One of the German Patriot systems from its army stocks will also be delivered to Ukraine this year."

Is Germany cutting its losses and is slowly abondoning it's Nato friends, or is this a full on double down for more help to Ukr?

Germany already had only three batteries of patriot, covering only the coast.

Russia has about 400,000 servicemen in the Ukraine. And, since Russia will be defending its territory against a counterattack, RF has the defender’s advantage. I’m sure this counteroffensive of 40,000 will be able to overcome these factors, much like Luke Skywalker inserting his torpedoes into the Death Star. SLAVA CARRIE FISHER!

Thats not how this works. Those 400k are spread about the entire area. A lot are logistics and support staff. 40k in a concentrated attack is definitely a major attack and could break through. Russia's advantages are that they know the attack is coming and can fortify the area, their units probably aren't barely trained/newly formed groups, and they'll have the air. It's extremely unlikely Ukraine breaks the line. And they definitely won't without tremendous losses. But it's not "this side has more people in the country. They win battle".

Everything I've read says only about 150k-200k have actually ever been in Ukraine at any one time since this entire thing started. Even after the partial mobilization a few months ago 250k-300k stay on the Russian side to be rotated. Obviously I'm not there but that's been the general consensus from all the semi-credible sources that I follow.

They aren't exactly being rotated. A friend of mine ended up in the trenches after the October draft and is still there. Says they rotate 1-2 people from a squad, after they come back from their leave another squad gets to send 1-2 people, and so on. Also says he doesn't really want to be granted a leave because going back will be very hard. I am seriously worried about his mental health, he sounds like a completely different - and unfamiliar - person on the very rare occasions when he can make a call.

Is it just me or is Zelensky getting increasingly shorter with each appearance? By the time the war finally ends he's gonna be pocket sized soon.
I had to look it up after someone commented earlier. Wiki says the NATO guy is 6'2" and Zelensky is 5'7". Normally they'll have a stool or something when the height difference is big like that. The conspiracy theorist in me says it was an intentional subliminal signal to the viewer about how much bigger and dominant NATO is over not just Global Hero Zelensky but Ukraine as a whole.

In reality Zelensky probably just sold the stool to one of the foreigners in the NATO guy's entourage for a few extra bucks.
