Shane, Patrick and Jackie are all leftists who constantly talk about nazis and bigots, and think of themselves as superheroes against evil villains. By the way, it's extremely sad that you have no friends to hang out with on the weekends. I get that you take your girlfriend out periodically to not look like a complete shut in and to keep her around, but don't you have any friends to call over and watch stuff or play games with? I had two friends over last night so one of them could watch the first season of the Mandalorian as she's never seen it and my wife's girlfriend came over, because of reasons. I think the issue with people like Pat and Shane is mostly they can't handle delayed gratification. It's why they instantly turn into raving lunatics the minute someone says no, like when Pat threatens to murder-suicide his then-wife, John's yet-to-be-born daughter, and himself. It's why they have these grandiose false realities they live in where they're cyber counter-terrorism or someone much smarter than Elon Musk.

I don't think either of them really grew up. They have the childish idea that having sex and being in massive debt is what it means to be an adult.
