Yes, Vickers did violate the same DVRO that Ralph did, and the judge will probably throw out anything related to that on that alone, however that is totally separate from the DVRO Faith has against Ralph, and Ralph will not be able to argue that because Vickers violated a separate DVRO that the one between Faith and himself should be tossed.

That being said, it's extremely unrealistic that he will go to jail; however, it's very possible that this interferes with whatever kind of custody arrangement he wants with Xander.

Imagine Ralph having to do hundreds upon hundreds of hours of community service in california all the while unable to earn money through his show or to see his kid. That would be justice.

he is not being "charged" with anything. this is a family court trial, not a criminal trial. he is alleged to have violated a court order (the dvro), on thirty-four separate occasions, and the family court judge has determined that there is enough evidence to allow the allegations to be brought to trial.

it's my understanding that each allegation is a separate violation. whether he's found responsible for one violation, or for all of them, he will still be found to have violated the court's order, which is a crime with legal consequences. in this case, it would also be a violation of another court order (the parental support / visitation order, which stipulates his compliance with the dvro), which is another crime with legal consequences.

this is not a contempt hearing / trial. although, the ragepig may very well end up being held in contempt, given his utter lack of impulse control, legal comprehension, and respect for the court.

Unless Ralph does something classically retarded, such as locking horns with the judge, it seems unlikely that he will go to jail. He has a horse and pig-foal in Mexico who are both dependent on the income he makes from slurring incoherently into a mic for several hours. If Ralph were to go to jail it would be his first time inside as a sex offender. I wonder whether he would have the restraint to exercise some common sense and keep his head down, or if he would be heard loudly arguing the nuanced legal distinction between revenge porn and a copyright dispute.

Sorry late, is there any way Yer Honnah can force Ralph into treatment? I’ve seen that happen in other cases where substance abuse isn’t part of the charge, but if defendant has a criminal history (ie 2 DUIs and drunk assault on LE) it can be made a condition of sentence.
