NEW YORK — April 24, 2023 — FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.

Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.

FOX News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, the direct-to-consumer streaming services FOX Nation and FOX News International and the free ad-supported television service FOX Weather. Currently the number one network in all of cable, FNC has also been the most watched television news channel for more than 21 consecutive years, while FBN ranks among the top business channels on cable. Owned by Fox Corporation, FOX News Media reaches nearly 200 million people each month.

I've had him on ignore continuously since TDS and/or losing his yellow name broke his brain. But the guy is at least in his mid twenties, probably much older. If someone is still being le epic and glorious internet troll while approaching thirty then something is deeply wrong with them. People who don't use ignore are the problem, but a broken human with a fucked brain is still the root cause.
Nobody in their 20s is running a politisperg triple H gimmick account.

Supremely dumb move on FOX's part. Tucker is the only reason to watch FOX News, which is otherwise just CNN with neo-con politics. FOX News' numbers are going to trickle to nothing as their soon-to-be exclusively Boomer audience slowly crawl into their graves.

Tucker, on the other hand, could start up a Youtube channel at his remote studio and make pretty close to FOX News money overnight. It'll probably be better for his brand to not be associated with FOX News.

I'd like nothing more than to see Fox fail, but it won't.

Tucker was a creation to fill the void of Bill, who they said of this departure would destroy Fox. It didn't. Murcdoch has let any exec go no matter how important. Or talking head. Or financial Founder of Fox News for that matter.

Whoever fills the void, will fill the void and he will keep his ratings. Bill, Tucker, Sean, they are all just merely creations from a parts shop and Murdoch has proven they can, and will, be replaced at will. God I hate Murdoch, but Jesus he is a hell of an impressive beast when it comes to his ruthlessness. Wish your enemy death but never be silly enough to not admire their tenacity.

The message is there for DeSantis and Trump: You will say and do what ever the fuck Murdoch wants and the next one who does will be President, and the one who won't doesn't get air on his show. If Murdoch doesn't like the narrative he will hand the Presidency to the one who will sing it.

Presidents come and go and so do Talking heads, but Murdoch remains.
You're giving the guy waaaaay too much credit.

Yall niggas talking about Tucker Carlson making Fox News go under with his impromptu departure takes me back to a time when Bill O'Reilly (alongside Sean Hannity if memory serves) was the face of Rupert Murdoch's media empire. They'll find another blowhard to put in that time slot, and he'll be equally effective with the next generation of right-leaning young'uns that'll come after you.

Whatever happened to the mantra of "the press are scum?"

So controlled that Tucker got fired after the Dominion debacle. That doesn't even make sense.
He got fired because he not only very likely lost them that one, he caused another major lawsuit from a former producer. This is a Hail Mary from them to try and keep another 9 figure settlement from happening with her. Smartimatic is likely to get their 2.7 billion payout at this point.

People said the exact same thing about the firing of Bill O’Reiley when he was fired by Fox in 2017 and replaced by CNN cast off….Tucker Carlson.

Fox makes and breaks these hosts, not Vice versa. Rupert likes to remind everyone of this fact every so often and did so today.

Took 'em only a year to get him censored.

And Grossberg accuses McCaskill of suggesting, ahead of the Fox News Spotlight Awards, which recognizes employees for outstanding work, that Yaron be nominated for “Inclusion Ambassador of the Year” because he was an “Israeli Jew,” and could use the $10,000 prize to buy the team pizza for a year.
McCaskill also made fun of Yaron for buying lunch at a Jewish bakery known as Breads Bakery, telling staffers that he went “to see his people” at the “Jew bakery,” according to the lawsuit. In December, Yaron brought a babka to the office to share with the staff ahead of New Year’s when McCaskill began to “loudly and obnoxiously” demand that the booking team have “the bread made by the Jews.”
Lol

Dominion is the company that operated the voting machines for the 2020 presidential election. Fox News has been accusing them of rigging the voting machines for the longest now, and they got sued by them for it. They ultimately settled the lawsuit for $787.5 million.

The thing is, as much as I want to believe that this election was rigged, I have to provide proof. I can’t just go by conjecture. It’s easier to just say Trump was set up for failure due to the pandemic.
Fox was one of the networks that was calling the election extremely early. No idea why anyone thinks Fox is 'their guy'. Or Tucker for that matter with his glowing father. All of this is kabuki for terminally online boomers and pronoun zoomers. Whether the election was rigged or not, normies always lose.

The only way to win is to not engage. It's the equivalent of walking out of a casino rather than continuing to dump your money into the slots hoping next time will be different. I implore everyone to take back their time and energy and use it to spend time with people and things in your life that you can actually have a positive impact on.

I don't like him when he shits up threads but at the same time if he's serious (we could never know) I don't want to ban someone because they have different or stupid opinions.

This is bad advice. Unless you mean doing more productive things than whining on social media (that's good advice) getting involved in local politics can fix a lot of issues. Not too long ago being a Young Republican or something was seen as geek shit & nobody wanted to do it because it was dry, boring, difficult work where you probably sat behind a desk indoors all day. Now people sit indoors all day anyway & abstinence from the process allowed bad people slip in. Politics are now full of more sociopaths & soulless bean-counters than ever before rather than the responsible homebodies or intelligent people who should be running things.

I'm sure he'll either find some independent work or some other smaller network will pick him up. Tucker still brings in big time views, he's a big name. The problem will be will his audience follow him? FOX is still primarily watched by boomers who are terrified of the big thinkin machine that's collecting dust in their dining room. So if he goes all online how much traffic will he still draw in? Is it better to try his luck independently on youtube or would someone like The Daily Wire want to pick him up? I don't see him as a guy who would just retire at this point. Whether you agree with him or not I think he does genuinely believe in what he's fighting. He wouldn't just give up unless he had to.
