I watched Designated Survivor a bit when it came out. I was hooked on the premise, seemed interesting.

I have bad news though. I didn't make it to the end of the 1st season before giving up.

Yeah, one more episode to finish season one. Kieffer Sutherland produced and stars in it. It's full of political intrigue and drama but what I found interesting is how several of the storylines align with current events, even though produced in like 2019. Russians arrest US sports star for drugs and a few other correlations to shit happening today.

Always liked the series 24 and this is similar. Wife always accused me of being gay for Kieffer. Maybe.

Personal experience was that Qanon began as people on 4chan and 8chan LARPing, a very small minority took it seriously, but the media ran with it and constantly gave a platform to 70 year old dementia patients who believed the Qanon shit because left wing mainstream media kept talking about it.
It was an astroturfed movement as evidenced by how it went completely away once election season was over.

Literally none of my right wing friends talked about that shit, but around 2019 and 2020 Qanon was brought up several times by people I know who I would describe as redditors and soygolems
