He seems like the nicest guy ever. Just a little nerdy dude enjoying his gun hobby.
He's generally nice and puts good effort in. Keep in mind that he's far from infallible, quite naive, and occasionally has some dumb opinions, like on the forward assist.
Their MP5 is made on actual HK machinery and with HK barrels. At least they were when Zenith were importing them. I've had mine for almost a decade without issue with more than a few thousand rounds through it.
Oh right, I forgot about Turk MP5s, I do recall hearing good things about them.
He might've been a traditional liberal years ago but like many want nothing to do with the Karl version that's taken over.
Typical speculation I see, and which seems about right, is that he's some manner of moderate with maybe a mild libertarian bend. He may or may not be a constitutionalist, but seems like he finds the rights as described as good things.
LMAO. Anyone with some talent feeling like drawing this?
Late and slightly off-topic but my Century MKE import MP5 clone from earlier this year has been running like a well-oiled typewriter so far at 500 rounds in. I find it hard to believe real HKs could get much smoother. Turkey might make some dogshit soap operas but their guns (as copied from another country and manufactured using commissioned tooling) seem to be decent.
The tooling helps a lot, that's what PTR built their business on.
Incidentally, I wish either MKE or PTR would start offering their G3 and MP5 clones with the MP5/10 style LRBHO. The slap is fun, but pistols and AR15s have spoiled me, the slide or bolt locking open for you on its own, and being able to send it home right away after inserting your new mag,
just feels SO fucking slick, and I never tire of how fast it feels. It's like me and gun cooperating.
They could base the 9mm ones around Scorpion mags, since they've got the aesthetic curve and are commonly available. Anyone make any sticks in 10mm and .45 which would trip a holdopen? As in a real subgun mag, not a long pistol mag.
