He has multiple cases of someone COOKING THEIR INFANT ALIVE and that was fine for him. The straw the breaks the camels back in true crime channels is always odd to me.
I think I can explain why this happens to youtubers that just dive in to this shit without thinking.
Many people that work with cases like this, in real life and seeing this stuff online as an actual job, are encouraged and sometimes even mandated to take a break to depressurize once in a while. It can be something like having a few hours dedicated to watching a nice show or movie everyday, going for a walk, making yourself go out and just talk with friends about stupid shit, and once your off the clock not thinking about work. There are also therapist that specialize in this kind of trauma because seeing this type of shit everyday can be traumatizing. Once you're done with a case or the case has been sent to someone else just learn to not think about it, it'll will eat you up inside if you think about it all the time and that's not good, best to just learn to forget.
These youtube channels don't do any of that, they just research this thing and research that thing all the time, research, record, edit, over and over. And if they want to make money from it they have to keep churning out videos on the regular so people will watch. They never take a break of any kind. Then they have a breakdown because they read wiki and news articles of horrible crimes. Imagine if they were the cops that had to see and smell those bodies, talk with heartbroken family, or read the rights to the scum that did it.
They all breakdown because it's hard to know that things like that happen in this world. It's hard for the people that deal with those cases and it's hard for the families. These youtubers seem to think that just reading about it can't wear you down, but it does and that's a normal human response. But they do it to themselves because they feel they need to find juicy stories to exploit and make money off of. That's why I have no sympathy when they "have to take a break for muh mental health". They went looking for it and they didn't have to.
