now:"guys, tips help me long term"
long term: "I don't have money, send tips"
aaah, the gorillion-year begacy.

I know a retard who does part-time jobs in food places mainly for food delivery. He is being paid monthly, as mandated by law, but he has this economic fetish of getting the money at the end of his shift.
well, you may ask faerselves, how does he get paid both-ways? Well, he gets his salary at the end of the month and returns it to his employer.
I asked him that that's counter-intuitive, why does he do that? He replied with "I want to get paid immediately".
He makes above minimum wage, he lives with his parents, he has a 250cc bike and he loans money from retards on top of that.
they are out there, beware.

A very peculiar phrase he uses a lot is "I remember..." or "If I remember correctly" yet....

"Can anyone help meeeeee?"
I'm wondering if asking to be handheld in games is his way of being an interactive streamer. For a guy who claims he watches a lot of streamers, he doesn't take notes if that is the case. Even most of the restreamers who aren't just doing raw gameplay are more legitimate streamers than Dave.

Old Man Yells at Cloud: DSP Street Fighter Rant

I listened to the first couple of seconds, and knew we had a banger of a rant. I must have missed this. DSP starts the video by (once again) "going back to his roots as a competitive fighting game player in the 90s and the early 2000s" while stroking his cat Jasper like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget. Then eventually hits us with:

"There was always an unfair advantage (in regards to Street Fighter console and arcade versions). However, the unfair advantage was always in favor of THE JAPANESE!"

maxresdefault.jpg

Only a few seconds into this rant, and he's wrong. If Phil really was a competitive Street Fighter player from the 90s and the early 2000s, then you think he'd know that Alex Valle (a.k.a., CaliPower, and the dude who called DSP a scrub on camera) played and beat Daigo Umehara in the Street Fighter Alpha 3 Internation Tournament in 1998. It's even on Valle's Wikipedia page. So where exactly is this "Japanese Advantage" Phil is going on about?

"Why? Well, because Capcom is a Japanese company! So Capcom would make these games, and playtest them in Japan! You'd go to Japanese Arcades, and these games would be in Japanese Arcades FIRST, before they ever went international. "

That's fucking stupid. My nigga in Christ, by that logic, wouldn't American players be bodying Korean players in StarCraft since that's an American-made game developed and tested in Blizzard? Wouldn't Japanese player steamroll over Korean and Saudi Arabian players in Tekken? Just because a game was made in a specific region and distributed there doesn't mean it's an unfair advantage. Is he trying to say that the only reason he got bodied by Tokido at EVO was because he was Japanese? That's pretty fucking racist, Phil.

"So the Japanese competitive players get to play these games months in advance! Sometimes, a YEAR in advance! Sometimes these games would be released in Japan FULL FLEDGED six to eight months before the international release, and Japanese players had almost A YEAR in advantage against the rest of the world!"

Well shit, then I guess someone should have told all the Korean Tekken players that, because they wreck Japan on the regular when it comes to the Tekken scene.

And to add on to that, Tekken 7 used to only be played in arcades internationally. The console version is "based on Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," which is a port of the game based on many of the fixes to the arcade version. To cut a long comparison short, there were many changes to Tekken 7's gameplay and frame data that caused the arcade Tekken 7 players to essentially re-learn the game, so everyone was back to being on an even keel. So again, this is an observation told through the perspective of a man who's still malding over the fact that an Asian beat him in his favorite fighting game.

"So... the argument now, some of these people in the competitive fighting game community is 'well, back in the day the Japanese ALWAYS had the advantage, and no one said anything. But NOW the tables have turned. Now we cracked the {Street Fighter 6} Beta, WE have the advantage, but now suddenly everyone is up an arms about it."Well, isn't that a double standard..." NO!!" Then goes on to say that cracking the SF6 beta was wrong "MORALLY and LEGALLY!"

First, if there were moral and legal quandries in people playing the cracked beta, then why hasn't Capcom put a stop to it, and why haven't YouTube channels featuring footage of any matches from the beta been taken down for copyright infringement? I've said this before: Capcom KNOWS people are playing the cracked beta, and they WANT them to. It's free fucking advertisement, so why would they stop them? The one thing any footage of the cracked SF6 Beta game accomplished is that it got people hyped for the new Drive System and newer take on the characters. And those same people are willing to drop dime on the game on release. Why would Capcom ruin that in favor of meeting DSP's moral and ethical standpoint?

Second, I'm tired of this argument against the beta. The beta only has 8 playable character out of an entire 18 game roster. So as soon as the other 10 become playable on release, we're back to the drawing board. Frame data will completely change from the beta. Content will completely change. Literally whatever "advantage" players had goes right out the fucking window the minute the game comes out.

"There's no way to justify what these people are doing! They just want to cheat to get ahead."

I just did.

Also, didn't you get Dark Souls 3 early, Phil? Wouldn't you say that you had the advantage over other players that had to wait ot buy the game, especially since the difficulty was nerfed? But I guess getting a game before the release date is only okay when you do it, and when other people do it, it's 'cheating'. Right, then.

"Again, top player shows up to the tournament, but doesn't get disqualified. Instead, everyone in their bracket has to wait to show up and then they get to play their matches whenever they feel like it"

Phil uses this as an example of how he's seen unfair shit in the FGC, and how some players get preferential treatment over others. And all I have to ask is:
  1. Which tournament was it?
  2. Which player did they bend the rules for?
  3. If this did happen, why didn't Phil speak up about it to a TO and get the fucker DQ'd?
Instead he waited until he was in his early 40s to mald about it on a fucking livestream, years after any availabale proof could ever be shown that would have helped the punish this player. And the only reason I can think of is because this didn't happen. DSP is just mad that the FGC casted him out likt the leper that he is, and all he can do is sit around and talk shit about the entire community from the safety of his computer screen. Pathetic.

"Top player LITERALLY has their ENTIRE LIFE financed by someone, so they can go to every tournament, and that's their life!"

Yeah, shit-for-dick, it's called a "sponsor". Even sports teams have them. They've been around since the 90s, too. Evil Geniuses, the company that sponsored Justin Wong for years before his departure, was around since 1999. Took me 2 seconds worth of research to find out. Although, I guess DSP would see players being sponsored by companies as a shock, since he's only ever had wheelchairs and dents fund his entire life.

"I couldn't tell you how many top players were at (starts listing tournaments that I'm not going to list):

Yeah, Phil, not shit. Big tournmaments want big players to play their games because that makes for great advertisement. And not just for big companies either. We're talking about, arcade stick companies, energy drink companies, game companies. Video games for pros and sponsors alike are a fucking business, Phil. Is it even a shock to see big-name players attending some of the larget tournaments in the world?

"Wait a minute! Don't you have a life, a JAHB, don't you go to school?"
  1. Pot calling the kettle black. WOW DOOD!

  2. Alex Valle worked in between entering and running tournaments; he's a father of four children. Justin Wong also worked in between playing fighting games, although I can't remember what job he had back then. He's married now, and has a daughter. Jay Snyder (a.k.a. 'Viscant') worked in programs to help under-priviledged youths and trained in combat sports. Jaha literally joined the Marines. It isn't difficult to live your life while playing fighting games at a professional level. I did, too. It ain't hard, Phil.
"It's always been this elitist group of-of unfair advantage, and it's BULLSHIT!"

For someone who hates this elitist group, you sure like to talk about them a lot... If I met a group like that, I'd just nnever associate with them, never mention them, and get on with my fucking life. Take the hint, Dave.

"I DON'T wanna get back into the fighting game community!"

THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP!

"Because everytime you think there's a chance to have a fair shake, you get SLAPPED DOWN! It's remarkable that I did as well as I did in the competitive fighting game community!"

Well not really. You basically got as far as you did by hanging from John Rambo's coattails and starting shit with top players. If I got my ass beat by one of the best Dhalsim players in the East Coast on a regular basis (especially one of the first three American players to attend SBO) I'd look decent in comparison to other players too. But outside of Rambo, Phil's just a shadow. He's attended maybe two big tournaments, but a bunch of locals, and that's it. That barely warrants him as a professional player.

Face it, Phil, The only reason you got as far as you did is because SF2 Super Turbo is, and always has been, a broken mess of a game that was so spam heavy and easy to learn that you could just auto-pilot it. But the minute fighting games became more nuanced and required you to learn shit, you got exposed for being a scrub. Stop trying to diss the FGC and just accept the fact that you were just a jobber. Give it up already...

"I had no one supporting me! I had no team supporting me back when I was placing in EVO-"

Disgusting. Was he a part of Tee, Rambo, and Howard's FGC crew? Didn't they meet up and play whenever they could and take him to tournaments, and pitch in to bu arcade cabinets? DSP is so engrossed in his pride that he literally wrote off the very people that made up his local FGC crew. What a piece of dogshit. What an insult to the very people who put up with your online antics. How like DSP to use people and toss them aside when they're no longer of use.

"When I went to EVO and I got 4th place, I went by my fucking self."

After what I mentioned in the above, that doesn't come as any shock to me.

Then DSP goes on to do the usual when it comes to Street Fighter games: he says it SF6 looks good, that it'll be better than SFV, but this time he goes on to say that there are people "literally cheating to have a 4 plus month advantage" against other players. AGAIN, that's the beta, you inbred. The game is likely going to change in both frame data and gameplay. And aside from that, there are 10 other characters that even people playing the cracked beta don't know about. Stop using this self-defeating argument to make a point, Phil. It's dumb. You're dumb.

Then he says that he's going to play the game on release like a badge of honor, and how he's gonna play the game competitively, even though he wants nothing to do with the competitive scene of Street Fighter anymore. This dude's a broken record. He also says he's not going to attend tournamnets (we get it, Phil, shut up) and that he's not going to worry about where he's placed in ranked and, fuck it. This is the same shit he does every time he does the opposite of what he's saying.

I just don't get it. If Phil wants nothing to do with Capcom, Street Fighter, the FGC, then why the fuck is he even getting thi game? If you don't care about fighting games anymore, why would you spend money on one? Shouldn't he be playing other games like all the other normies are? Why tout about your FGc accomplishments when they mean nothing anymore because you want zero to do with the only community who'd even are?

Dude went from laughable to confusing. My fucking brain, dude...

Sadly, that's the only interaction he allows these days. Before he streamed, he would just have himself and his computer to Google up assistance, while saying "let me think" and pauses for a long time.

Now, he doesn't allow any side conversation in the chat, because that gets in the way of hand holding that is crucial for him to pass the game faster... for whatever reason.

I still don't get why he wants to beat games faster. Shouldn't he want to beat games slower when they bring more views?

It's not so much that he doesn't value views, at the end of the day he still cares about promoting his channel in the algorithm and making money from ad revenue (like the likes goal and manually approved pasative comments), it's more so that tips bring him money immediately, and he uses it for things daily, so it's always been his main driving point, a few slow days with low tip streams and he starts to get nervous.

He's really sneaky these days to indirectly stick it to dah trolls that he "doesn't care about the level of contributions", but if tips are tracking low, you can easily read Phil and tell that all he cares about is that people still tip him, he values that more than views.

He's always thinking about the short term when it comes to his behaviour, not the long term.

His view on women is funny to me. He feels the person paying the lion share of bills shouldn’t be cooking and cleaning. And if you can’t handle that then you need to get your ass to work and pay half. Some can say that’s dickish. Yeah. But it explains a lot of the friction he had with a certain ex. She wasn’t carrying her wait so he got tired of her costing him so much. That’s why he started inserting her so much in content. He wanted her to eventually be a full time streamer and pay bills with streaming money.
Nice LARP attempt retard, but you have your lore assbackwards.
Leanna started out immediately way more involved in his content, while trying to do PandaLeeGames.
Then she started appearing less and less in content, as she started working and doing her side soap business thing.

As expected the same person saved the Elden ring stream again, Phil sat at $24 for most of the stream, this is a bit of a theory but I think it's likely, an 'anonymous' tipper (same person in my opinion) tipped $26 to get the ball rolling up to the glasses goal.

Unfortunately this did little as he only received a measly $4, the same dent under a sock name of course, then had to foot the rest of the $46 so Phil could get his $100, this is definitely not the same person who whaled the first run and has a thread here!

Imagine this being your life.. absolutely pathetic.

So we all know that one of Phils ongoing spiels are "I have grown and changed droob", I was poking around in the old thread and found a post by @AnOminous posted Jan 16, 2015 that end like this:

"For nearly every one of these things in a DipShitPhil video, the exact opposite is true.

The production values are atrocious.

He plays like a drunk epileptic mongoloid wearing oven mitts.
So badly, in fact, that even if you have never played the game he is failing at, you can often tell exactly what he is doing wrong.

He is constantly rude to his own audience, even when they're being helpful, or trying to be helpful, because he is beyond help.

He offers no advice.

How has this guy made any money at all doing this? I understand he is now complaining about loss of audience, but how did he ever have an audience in the first place?"

So how does this list hold up 8 years later? It is still 100% correct, in it's own way that is kinda impressive that a person can be this stagnent at a thing they claim is both their hobby, passion and job.

It's actually pretty impressive he hasn't learned anything and arguably has gotten even worse.

while stroking his cat Jasper like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget. Then eventually hits us with:
Autistic of me but something always bothers me the way he pets Jasper. It always looks like he is applying way too much force in his strokes and doesn't even really care where his hoof ends up. It's like he is always trying to control where Jasper is and hold him in place and Jasper always looks extra pissed off when he does it.

Maybe I'm just being a mega autist here but just something that bugs me. It just seems like a very childlike way to pet an animal, like you know those toddlers who see a neighbors dog or whatever and just act forceful when petting it kinda way.

It strikes me as fake. It'd be a weird thing to fake so it feels strange saying it. What bugs me is how he talks to the cat in English babytalk. If the cat does whatever he says he takes that as validation that the cat is listening to him and understands him, and if it doesn't he keeps talking to it. It's grating, the cat doesn't know what you're saying to it. Move it off your chair like a human being does if you don't want it in your chair.

I've never seen anyone act like he does with his cat. And it's oddly transferred into videogames. He'll mention every fucking kitty or froggie he sees. He's fucking weird. And a dunce. In spite of it all Jasper Kitty seems normal enough, and a guard dog now I guess so that's good. Must be his weekly supply drop.

He's fucking weird.

i like the zoo video, where phil is recording the elephants freaking out, and phil is just "LOOK. LOOK. THEY'RE DANCING!" and someone just quietly goes "They only do that when they're stressed out." to which phil responds with several seconds of silence before going "they're dancing...."
