I love how even as more people protest against the likes of Dylan Mulvaney, they STILL want to accept troons... so long as they're the "right" kind of troon. And of course, most of these comments appear to be from females. The "No True Trans Fallacy" really does make sense.

Seeing people "misgender" Dylan because he's pretending to be a female caricature was quite rich especially when Laverne Cox told him tone it down. Some people were calling him (Cox) a kween and actual troon, as if Laverne isn't also a man doing womanface.

Ech, the Met Gala generally works with designers/fashion houses buying tables (if Anna Wintour lets them) and then inviting guests along themselves (who then have to wear whatever the designer/fashion house gives them). Last year was the first time the Kardashians were invited by Anna Wintour outright. 2019, the theme being camp, saw the first appearance of drag queens at the Met Gala

and that's because Moschino and Maison Margiela invited them along and dressed them (and again, the theme was camp).

Almost every celebrity you see at the Met Gala was invited by a fashion house to promote their clothing. I think Kate Spade the person used to get invited but I don't think Kate Spade the company does. Given the most high profile clothing companies he's partnered with are Kate Spade and Nike, I can't see him swinging an invite off an actual fashion house (and even if he had, they might have retracted that invitation due to current drama and given it to someone else).

Which is a shame, because this year's theme is Karl Lagerfeld, and it'd be really funny to see Dylan running around dressed up like a drag version of Karl.
