I forget) court might entertain him making an emergency custody application for rozy if Meigh tried to leave and take her with him.

My guess is they were already on shaky ground with the Harry attacks and the airport fiasco was her leaving until Ralph begged her to give it a few more months and he’d change because after that trip Meigh showed up on stream more and even had more roles to do. In the mean time Ralph just took a dive further in to pillstream mode while Meigh just flat out “meme’d” on him whenever onscreen. Combined with getting dragged into another dumb event with Faiths diary was probably the last straw on top of the way he treats Rozy and Xander differently.
