I don't know, I kinda like it. Maybe I'm just really jaded, but at least the creator actually draws their own characters instead of pulling stock images of people off the internet and pasting vhs grain over it (even if the artstyle gives off too many Tumblr vibes to believably be based in the 2007). Though now that it's popular from a bunch of bigger Youtubers covering it, I fear it's gonna fall into the same pitfalls of "le spooky nostalgic horror"

I don’t think everyone who learns about these cases and shows morbid fascination is a degenerate. I do wish that the scapegoat phenomenon was just explained on its own instead though. That’s what interests me most; why one kid, why not the others in most of these cases? Is there any videos about scapegoating or an article to read?
I suppose your right, interest doesn't mean that you are horrible person, but for me its the fact that the audience sent hate mail to them for stepping away from content related to children being sexually exploited and murded which seems kinda suspect to me.
