My guess is that he wanted to get Simmons out and was too lazy to actually make highlights himself.

A big part of the entertainment came from the fact that everybody couldn't stand Jon and it was building to a point where they'd let it out.
All of that is out of the window after today. Everybody will act nice and keep it to themselves now.

On the Twitter Space after Sim got kicked out Jet/Sam's friend said that they are looking for a new contested to join the show from Craigslist since that is where they found Sim and Mauro. They don't want MDE fans, and they will be doing better background checks now.

It would be incredibly funny if a ween manages to sneak through their background check and joins the game.

Unless this is a bit to introduce Frank Hassle, I really think this is a bad idea. Just treat Simmons as the cut contestant for this week and keep chugging like normal imo.
