They just go with his narrative Adam has to be the one editing YMS videos because it wouldn't be the same if another editor did them. Here's the list of projects that got the Synecdoche treatment for those who are curious.

I totally forgot about his yearly "Best of" vids. I remember him being consistent by making them a year or two after their respective year, but he hasn't done since 2018.

He stopped doing the best of videos because that's a lot of work watching hundreds of movies to do a video that might get hundreds of thousands of views but will probably get copyright claimed so he won't make ad revenue from the video. So it's better and easier for him to focus on doing livestreams and hire an editor to cut clips from his livestreams for his highlights channel. Work smarter not harder after all.

This review is barely even about the movie, it's comical how he barely even talks about the movie and just brings up stuff around it instead. It feels like it would be a deep dive video but the points he brings up are all over the place though fan reception part before actually talking about the movie halfway in the review.

All of this could have been prevented if old Paper Mario writing was still relevant in the franchise.

It really feels like he only gave the movie a 2/10 to spite the fanboys. A page right out of Jim Sterling's playbook.

Adam is honestly pretty bad in general when it comes to reviewing animated movies so I'm not surprised.

His problem is that he believes EVERYONE (at least like 99.9% of people) was out in full defense force for the movie when all he had to do was do some research and not be stuck in his usual normalfag bubbles (e.g. twitter, which the fact that he censored the names of everyone except the one dude criticizing the film was dumb unless it's some new YouTube rule idk about) to realize that a lot of people were, in fact, criticizing the movie... specifically /v/ and even people on here were saying shit looks like your typical illumination schlock. Yes, Nintendrones exist, but they don't make up the majority of the viewerbase.

It doesn't matter what you say about this fucking Mario film, all its defenders will counter with the exact same talking points: "It's just a film for dumb kids, stop seething and go touch some grass"; That's fucking hypocritical because Mario's defender act so fucking mad at the sight of anyone daring to say this film is hot garbage but they just project it to others as if the people saying a bad movie is bad are the ones who need to chill out.

I never even watched the trailer for the Mario film, posted only 3 times in the multimedia thread, and people literally quoted me there questioning why I was obsessed with the film, despite the fact I was ignoring it and decided to shitpost there only two or three times.

I have never seen this before in my life. Nowadays I almost only follow the games and multimedia part of the Kiwi, and I can say to you, people here hate everything. Almost every thread on this forum is people shitting in the next release, go check the new Zelda game thread, it's only people saying this game sucks and is a 70 dollar DLC abomination, and everyone is just following along just fine. The fucking Mario movie though? It's ILLEGAL not to like it.
