Steve was pretty much malding when he was announcing the divorce about the fact Texas has no-fault divorce. It used to be the case way back when, that if one party wanted to divorce another there needed to be fault found. Something like physical abuse, infidelity or drug use. I think Steven brought it up because he wanted to say, "Hey, look at this! I'm a good, rich, trad provider! And my whore wife divorced me for no reason!"

I disagree entirely. And the reason why, is simple. Hilary had no reason to release that tape. The divorce was only confirmed earlier this week, when Crowder discussed it and has been ongoing for well over a year now. I think if she really wanted to smear him, she would've done it far earlier. I think some tape like this would've been devastating to Crowder's career in the aftermath of the Daily Wire fiasco. But because she didn't release it then, and only has now, I speculate it might have something to do with what Steven said during the announcment.

Something there doesn't sit right. And maybe it is the abuse bit. Maybe she considers this sort of behaviour abusive. I certainly would. And if his was a semi-regular occurance, I totally get her wanting to jump ship.
