So I just wanted to rewatch the British Ration Week videos from a few years ago, but it seems they've been set to private at some point.

Not really. Might catch some flak for this on here, but I actually rather like it. No mechanical issues, it feels good, it's lightweight, and the fixed length-of-pull isn't an issue. I don't regret my purchase, and my money went through Brownells at a discount anyway, not directly to KE Arms. InRange has nothing to do with the KP-15 financially either.

I have three lowers I completed myself with a mix of KP (you really need the modified selector, the rest are fine) and other parts. They're just fine. They don't feel like they're going to break, the fit and finish is really no worse than than a mid-tier aluminum lower, just different.

Honestly I always just assumed InRange was ALSO one of Ian's channels and Karl was just a helper until they announced the split

Same here, I got the impression of it being a collaboration between Ian and some literally who friend of his, it wasn't until much later that I figured out that it was entirely Karl all along. I wonder how many actually figured out that it's Karl's own brand from the get go instead of thinking it's just a Forgotten Weapons spinoff for mud testing and shit?

Karl still tries to grab the coattails of bigger Youtubers for collabs in the hopes of growing his own audience. Ironically enough I was tangentially associated with one of those collabs a couple years ago and didn't even realize it until a few weeks ago when I saw it posted in this thread. Life is weird like that.

Another interesting tidbit was in an Ian FW YT video some time ago when he mentioned something something InRange something LGBT support something something (I can't remember the topic or the overall gist) but do distinctively remember getting the impression that Ian had just outed Karl and how odd that was. It had never occured to me at the time that Karl might even be gay until that video, not that I'd watched more than three videos ever with him in them. The sexual orientation of people is not something that even enters my mind watching videos about guns. I wish I remembered the video, maybe it was one of his QA's? Since this recent drama I've wondered if there wasn't some original resentment coming from that. Maybe he was already out as a flaming homo back then, I don't do the Patreon or Reddit thing so have no idea. I just remember thinking "damn I'd be pissed right now if I was that guy. WTF does any of this have to do with machineguns?"

I haven't looked for it but will try later. Ian didn't say Karl was gay but the way he danced around it while giving props could've easily given that impression. I can't be the only normie who watched it and thought "that was weird". Most folks don't know all the various backstory lore the way we do here.

The way Karl thinks legitimately reminds of someone who grew up during the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union: "Ian! I got into a childish argument about politics with people on the internet! You must back me up and publicly denounce this major company that you frequently partner with, while I weaponize my Patreon subscriber-base! Otherwise you're a just as bad as them, and a traitor!!"

Karl is the type of "friend" to start a fight with with a guy twice as big as himself at a bar for no reason, and when he rightfully gets his ass handed to him, blames you for not driving 15 minutes to come back him up.

I don't think he's censoring them just because Ian's in them. Frankly, he wouldn't have a channel without Ian. Ian is in pretty much all of the channel's best videos, and he'd be fighting his way up a 90 degree slope trying to purge all mention of him from the channel.

My guess is that he's doing what he usually does. That is to say, heavily censor any content he deems controversial, or where he's received a lot of comments espousing "naughty opinions". He usually doesn't unlist stuff, just turns off the comments, or sets the comment filters to the "North Korea" setting and watches what does get through like a hawk. You see this on all his videos featuring Tacticool Boyfriend, for example.

Someone probably just said one too many things he didn't like under the videos. Or maybe he just is genuinely that retarded, both are entirely within the realm of possibility.
