Fox News contributor punched in face at pro-union protests in Michigan (published December 23, 2015)
A Fox News contributor was punched in the face during a pro-union protest Tuesday in Michigan, one of a series of confrontations between union demonstrators and opponents on the day the state Legislature approved so-called "right to work" legislation that unions oppose.

Steven Crowder, a conservative comedian and Fox News contributor, had spent the day questioning demonstrators, and video he posted on YouTube showed some of them becoming verbally aggressive, with one telling him, "get the f--- out of my face!"

Another protester can be seen later in the video punching Crowder in the face before being restrained by another man.

Crowder later posted photos on his Twitter account showing a chipped tooth and "minor cut on forehead." He told the website TheBlaze.com that the scuffle started when protesters tried to tear down a tent set up by conservative organization Americans for Prosperity.

"They were trying to tear down the tent and people were trying to pull them off. ... And as they did that, a few people tripped,” he told the website. “This guy tripped over a tent peg and then got up and hit me.”

The Lansing Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but a spokesperson said police would have further information on the incident some time Tuesday night.

Gov. Rick Snyder signed the legislation Tuesday evening after the state House gave final approval of the bills, which bar unions from collecting mandatory fees from workers they represent under collective bargaining agreements.

Earlier Tuesday, two people were arrested after trying to get into a Michigan state building where Snyder has an office.

By evening, dozens of state troopers in riot gear swept protesters away from the building. State police accompanied by sheriff's deputies on horses moved shoulder-to-shoulder to clear the area across the street from the Capitol. Some people who refused to move were physically picked up.

The new laws deliver a blow to the labor movement in the heart of the U.S. auto industry. One bill dealt with public sector workers, the other with government employees. Both measures cleared the Senate last week.

"There will be blood, there will be repercussions," state Democratic Rep. Douglas Geiss, speaking on the House floor on Tuesday, warned ahead of the votes.

Earlier in the day, two state school districts closed after hundreds of teachers called out, presumably to join the protests.

FoxNews.com confirmed that the Warren school district had to close Tuesday after so many teachers called out absent; WDIV in Detroit reported that the Taylor school district had to do the same. A statement from the Warren system said that by 8 a.m. local time, 750 staff members had called out.

Selective Editing by Fox News Contributor Revealed by Fox News
Last Updated, Friday, 12:51 a.m. As my colleague Jennifer Preston reported, there were scuffles between union activists and supporters of Michigan’s Republican-dominated Legislature outside the state Capitol in Lansing on Tuesday, as the lawmakers approved sweeping changes to the way unions will be financed.

At one stage during the tense standoff, union members opposed to the so-called right-to-work legislation ripped down a tent erected by the conservative group Americans for Prosperity. Several supporters of the conservative group recorded video of their efforts to defend the tent, but the footage that got the most attention, with more than half a million views on YouTube, was an 80-second clip that showed a conservative comedian named Steven Crowder getting punched in the face by a union activist.

Immediately after the incident, Mr. Crowder posted photographs on Twitter documenting what he said were his injuries — a cut on his forehead and a chipped tooth — and his video quickly went into heavy rotation on Fox News, where he frequently appears and is identified as a contributor.

On Wednesday, however, questions were raised about the way in which Mr. Crowder had edited his video. After speaking with a witness to the events, the liberal blogger Chris Savage argued on his site Eclectablog that the video edit was misleading:

This video is actually a composite of a things that happened over the course of the day, many of them hours apart. The initial conversation happened early in the morning. At about 0:16, it cuts to Crowder saying, “You’ve already destroyed one tent, leave this one alone.” That happened hours after the interview with the union workers that starts the segment. The guy he’s talking to is standing quite a distance from the tent but Crowder insists that he’s somehow tearing down the tent.
Selective editing at about 0:39 mark shows what appears to be union guy attacking Crowder for no apparent reason. However, if you look closely, you’ll see that the guy is getting up off the ground — that he was NOT the one that became aggressive first.
As Mr. Savage noted, raw video of the scuffle over the tent shot by another camera showed that the man who punched Mr. Crowder was engaged in an angry discussion with a defender of the tent when the comedian stepped in between them. Within seconds the fight broke out.

In response to questions, including from his supporters, about the way he had edited the video, Mr. Crowder was by turns philosophical and prickly, but pointed out that more of the footage he used to make the clip was broadcast during his appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program on Tuesday night.

All editing is selective by definition. Try the hours of raw footage all over the net. RT @aus_cull: @scrowder SELECTIVE EDITING. #dirtbag

@KeithBurgin full video was released on Hannity yesterday.
Steven Crowder (@scrowder) 12 Dec 12

Unfortunately for Mr. Crowder, a look at the video broadcast on the Sean Hannity show appears to show quite clearly that he left out an important section of the footage when he put together his edit. A section of the Fox News broadcast preserved by the Web site Mediaite shows that Mr. Hannity’s producers at Fox News started the clip five seconds earlier than Mr. Crowder did. What the extra footage reveals is the man who punched Mr. Crowder being knocked to the ground seconds before and then getting up and taking a swing at the comedian.

It remains unclear what caused the man who threw the punch to fall to the ground at the start of the incident, but Mr. Crowder did say in an interview with a conservative blogger that he and other men defending the tent did get into a physical confrontation with the union activists. “We didn’t get violent with them, but we did try and push them off the tent,” he said.

Update | Friday, 12:51 a.m.: As a reader of The Lede points out, more video of the incident, shot from another camera and broadcast on another Fox News program, The O’Reilly Factor, makes it clear that the unidentified union member who punched Mr. Crowder was knocked to the ground moments before he came up swinging. The same footage (about 1:34 into the segment) also shows that Mr. Crowder had his hand on that man’s shoulder just before he tumbled to the ground, but, while the camera does not capture the whole sequence of events, it seems likely that the man was knocked to the ground as members of the two sides pushed against one other, not shoved down by Mr. Crowder.

Correction: December 13, 2012
An earlier version of this post referred incorrectly to a still image of the conservative activist Steven Crowder being punched that was uploaded to YouTube by Mr. Crowder. The image was not drawn from video in Mr. Crowder's possession, but was a photograph taken by a Detroit News photographer, John T. Greilick, who witnessed the incident. The photograph is available for purchase from the newspaper's Web site.

Some unfunny stand up at teacon 2011

2011 video of him on fox news talking about marriage, pretty fun with what is going on right now

A video for National Center for Public Policy Research, has less than 500 views. He has made a number of videos for them, all low in viewership however it is where "louder with crowder" seems to come from

A rap video from 2012, and honestly the worst thing he has done. Baked Alaska's rap maybe better.

Crowder captures campus attention (2011)
Top-image-SC-.jpg

(so many empty seats)
Conservative comedian Steven Crowder entertained Gustavus students with a comedy routine followed by political dialogue last Thursday. Crowder is one of the youngest contributors on record for the Fox News Network and is also well-known as a stand-up comedian, having performed at the Montreal “Just for Laughs” comedy festival and winning Myspace’s “So You Think You’re Funny” national contest.

Crowder was brought to campus by the College Republicans. He presented his controversial humor to a crowd of both conservatives and liberals. Following his comedy routine, a political discussion was held during which the crowd had the opportunity to ask Crowder any questions they wanted.

“I always welcome everybody to come and welcome everybody to ask questions, regardless of political viewpoints. I like bringing a voice and opinion that not everyone has heard before and especially in a way that they have not heard it,” Crowder said. Responding to the controversial nature of his comedy act, Crowder defended his routine, declaring its political incorrectness to be part of the act.

“My first goal is to make people laugh; after all, I am a comedian. I am not necessarily trying to sway opinion or give political advice,” Crowder said.

Crowder began his career in the spotlight at a young age as the voice of the Brain on Arthur. He continued to act on film and television shows throughout the rest of his childhood. At age 18, he began performing stand-up comedy. His talent as a comedian and his viral internet videos with his “own special brand of take-no prisoners, politically incorrect humor” earned him the attention of major cable news and radio programs across the country.

“For the most part, legitimate questions were asked after the show and Crowder provided answers in ways that people could understand, even if they were not politically involved or knowledgeable. Obviously, the goal was not to give direct advice but instead to foster discussion and offer different perspectives,” Cassandra Kendall, vice president of the College Republicans said. Kendall also felt Crowder’s performance was a helpful step towards the College Republicans’s reformed agenda on campus.

“This year is about breaking stereotypes and reaching more of the conservative body. We understand that there are more conservatives on campus who may feel ostracized in a way. This year, we would like to foster more healthy dialogue and create a friendlier environment for conservatives,” Kendall said.

Bess Folsom, junior political science major and president of the College Republicans, is pleased with the way the show went.

“His plane came in on time, the microphones worked and he did not get egged. Overall, I would say it was a success,” Folsom said. Folsom said the College Republicans’ goal inbringing Crowder was reaching out to more of the student body in a different way than in the past when they planned more serious speakers and events.

“We do not want to be serious all the time. We like to laugh and joke. Bringing Crowder to campus is a step towards breaking some of the stereotypes surrounding conservatives on campus. We are lighthearted and like to have fun,” Folsom said.

Not everyone in the audience was amused by Crowder’s act.

“Overall, the problem with Crowder’s act was the mix between comedy and agenda. It was a difficult mix of genres. There was a lot of racism mixed with serious messages. I do not consider that to be comedy,” Mandy McCourt, senior English major and president of the College Democrats said.

“The question and answer session afterwards made no sense given the nature of his act. He is a comedian, but people in the crowd were asking him policy questions. It just was not productive and it just was not the place for a dialogue,” McCourt said.

Some felt that Crowder’s presence on campus was inappropriate given the politically incorrect nature of his YouTube videos.

“Crowder has a lot of offensive material online. He jokes about waterboarding Nancy Pelosi and makes fun of immigrants. His comedy truly is distasteful,” Senior Philosophy and Political Science Major Drew Ajer said.
Responding to the controversy surrounding the politically incorrect nature of Crowder’s show, Folsom defended Crowder’s humor.

“He is a comedian. Yes, he pushed the envelope. He even pushed it for me. It is a comedy show. You cannot take everything he says seriously. He over-generalizes and stereotypes, but he has the right to express comedy in whatever way he chooses. It is his artistic right,” Folsom said.

Despite the tension between the College Democrats and College Republicans regarding the Crowder performance, both groups will continue to work together as peacefully as their differences in views will allow them.

“We have pretty heated debates, especially at the annual Pizza and Politics event. But we leave it at the table. We can still get along outside of politics,” McCourt said, referring to the relationship between the College Democrats and the College Republicans.

“We sincerely do appreciate that the College Democrats showed up. Even through there is opposition and differing points of views, it really meant a lot to us. None of the other groups from the Diversity Leadership Council attended. We can always count on each other to attend each group’s events and show support in that way,” Kendall said.
CPAC: Where Ashley Judd Rape Jokes Happen (2013)
Possible Kentucky Senate candidate Ashley Judd has an “unnerving” “obsession” with rape, according to a conservative comedian who performed at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday. Fox News contributor Steven Crowder was winding up his monologue from CPAC’s main stage when he decided to mock Judd’s suggestion that people who use high-tech appliances (herself included) are indirectly contributing to human rights abuses:
By the way, in breaking news, Ashley Judd just tweeted that buying Apple products, again, is akin to rape. From her iPhone. Rape—now she knows how my brain felt after Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Oh, she said it. What is this obsession with Ashley Judd and rape? It’s pretty unnerving.
Here’s one reason why Ashley Judd talks about rape a lot: She is, in her own words, “a three-time survivor of rape.” (I didn’t have to look very hard for that; she talked about it at length in a nationally televised public appearance last month.) Talking about it is not just part of the recovery process—Judd feels it’s her obligation: “I gave that shame back, and it’s my job to break my isolation and talk with other girls and other women.” That’s also, not coincidentally, a large part of what she does internationally as a public health activist. There is literally a chapter in her memoir called “The Republic of Rape.” It’s about the Democratic of Republic of Congo, of which she has reported, “100 percent of the women I had interviewed had been gang-raped multiple times by armed militia.”

On top of all of this, the original joke doesn’t even make sense. Crowder’s punch-line is that Judd is oblivious to the obvious hypocrisy of condemning Apple products while using them. What an idiot! But Judd’s comments came in a long essay (not a tweet) about the angst she felt about using products that came from conflict zones.

Given the physical and emotional trauma experienced by countless women on a daily basis, it’s not especially surprising that Judd is “obsessed” with rape; the better question is why Steven Crowder isn’t.

Manosphere talking points have never been more popular, even as the men who clearly follow the advice take non-stop Ls.

I guess this is another instance of “women initiate 2/3rds of divorces” that absolute retards took at face value to mean “women cause the divorce” when really men will just keep a woman they don’t even like around.

Sad but true. Almost no guy who follows the advice of ‘dominate your wife’ is happy or still married.

If you cross dress you are a faggot, you can't do it ironically.
Man especially if you put as much effort into it as Crowder does. Like there was that one time recently where he put 2 balloons in his shirt to make fun of the Canadian teacher which wasn't that bad. And maybe even if all he did was put on a wig and dress as a joke that would be another thing. But there is 2 problems with that.

1. He has many occasions of doing that. If it were like a few times during his career then maybe I could excuse it but not only has he done it on multiple occasions but he has done it ever since his first few months of YouTube.

2. He doesn't just put on a wig and dress, the guy puts on makeup too. I cannot even mentally comprehend how a man can just put on women's make up without feeling any sort of shame, even if it were for a "joke." The guy is definitely a flaming faggot for sure.

One guy dropped this comment on Mark Dice's video about Crowder and no need to guess then lots of folks will dislike that comment.

Doesn't Matter

There’s two sides to ever story. She released a video showing his faults, but he stays silent on why he was acting the way he was. Everyone who’s against “believe all women” is now falling into the trap of believing all women! There’s always two sides!! Maybe Steven has some videos and texts to release too!!

The makeup is a serious red flag. It isn't like clown makeup where you turn into a Goomba and then ride elephants, it's woman's makeup. Part of a joke is, unless it is expertly done, I expect it to be cheap. Buy a wig at Spirit Haloween? Alright, let the memes begin. Get a professional wig? Buddy, I have questions.

About to power level for a bit.

I watched a lot of Steven Crowder back when I was in college and grad school and right around the time I was going to graduate, I figured I may as well go ahead and join Mug Club so I could get the student discount. It took forever to get my mug, but that's beside the point. I had forgotten to renew it so I was charged for another year. A month or two ago, I got an e-mail telling me that my subscription was going to renew, but it wasn't from Crowder's team. It was from the Blaze. I went ahead and cancelled it. The part that struck me as odd was why wasn't I getting this from Crowder's team? I remember a lot of people were mad that they had covertly joined The Blaze and lied about the process and I honestly can't blame them. This also raised the question of how much of that money went to the Blaze instead.

Never really seen this talked about, but a youtuber and geologist called potholer54 made a response to one of Crowders video, in return Crowder wanted to debate him but ran away at every chance.

The last part of the video is about the debate which never happened

another video by potholer54 on crowder, has more info about Crowder lying about the debate and blaming Crowder for it not happening

Sorry for where the video is from but not going to look at facebook to find the posts, but here is Crowder lying about having his show canceled

Maybe worth adding a part about him before his youtube success
Found an old video from 2010 of him and Amy Schumer debating
Really good finds thank you for these
Him voicing Brain in Arthur as a child
That was already in the OP
That freaking thumbnail screams faggot so loud you would think he was wearing an "I suck dick" tee-shirt. He literally looks like the sitcom gay hedonist character trope.

Don't forget that one time he made a now deleted poll on I believe YouTube where one of the options was Greta Thunberg in lingerie or something even though at the time she was still a minor. You even had people like memeology101 trying to downplay it as an oopsie even though that's some pedo shit right there.

at last, my existence on the farms comes full circle. I actually discovered kiwifarms because I had seen videos of him at a college campus riling people up, and the infamous "KEEP YOUR HATESPEECH OFF OUR CAMPUS" landwhale tickled me so much I looked her up and it lead me to a thread here long ago. So I will thank crowder for that.

But that's all he gets because honestly fuck that guy. He and ethan klein are just the bizaro versions of each other. Unfunny hacks who need to be surrounded by asspatters to laugh at their stupid "jokes". The fact he was talking to hilary the way he talks to other people is super obnoxious to me, she's your wife not someone you need to debate and DUNK ON.

fuck that guy, hope he troons out so he can finally make me laugh.

He's obviously a major disgruntled faggot and the "abuse" clip was honestly more cringe than anything especially with that trad larp lecturing. Is it safe to say that this clip from 2021, and that coincidently was leaked by a Daily Wire shill on his substack months after telling Ben Shapiro to eat shit, was supposed be more of career hit than his wife exposing him . Seems like all these grifters in Con inc have dirt and blackmail on people who turn on them and the main purpose of this was to get back at him for his stunt exposing the contract he was offered.

@LocalAnimeTard I think an obvious inclusion to the OP would be maybe a small compilation of all the weird drag shit Crowder has done and other sus moments. I don’t even think it’s as much of a gotcha as a lot of leftist critics of Crowder seem to think it is, but it’s something that’s been brought up so much it’d feel wrong to not include it.

Also, as a general question for threadgoers, on a scale of 1 to Anthony “A-log” Loggato, how bad and cringe is Crowder’s stand up? I’m pretty sensitive to stand-up cringe (when Null did his stream on A-log I made it like 10 secs into the routine before I skipped it) so I didn’t watch what has been posted Itt.
