Inactive Andrew Dobson / Tom Preston / CattyN - STOP DOING SEXIST CRAP

Why did Dobson find the need to tweet this and think it isn't fucking creepy? :cryblood:

Same reason he retweeted this.

Because he thinks it impresses women.

He is retweeting Yamino?
Isn't that the girl who was involved in some brony drama because she thought Derpy Hooves was offensive and makes shitty webcomics about a nun with a water gun?

Also, centaur deers? Dobson, either go full human or full furry. Cause this just makes it look like you want to fuck Bambi's mom.

I am not even sure why this is creepy. It should at best be a little odd... But it manages to be creepy.

I guess it's something about putting a mystical creature in a somewhat fetishized outfit and stating that they are gay.

I think the reasoning behind that head canon is:
"Balance looks a bit androgynous and doesn't smile! She must be be non-binary!"

Because we know Dobson well enough to know that the context in which he retweets something is different than the tweet itself.

For example, a fan is excited that she gets to meet and hug an actor she really likes. Not creepy, because we understand the reasoning. But when Dobson retweets it...

...it becomes "weird fat bald guy in his thirties thinks two girls hugging means lesbians".

His retweet is extremely creepy because this one woman expressed apparently innocent joy in response to seeing this beautiful creature, presumably in the wild, and in response this guy tweeted her a thing about lesbian maid fetish centaur deer.

Edit: The more I think about it, the creepier it gets.

"Headcanon" is by far one of the most obnoxious Tumblrisms out there. Mostly because the people who use that term always act like they know the story/show/game/whatever better than the actual creators. It's like fan theories, but for presumptuous control freaks.

Oh, it's only just begun...

Isn't it confirmed by the artist that Blanche is a male?
You don't honestly think that they care what the artist has to say do you? A canon sex/gender would've done fuck all to begin w/, but now that they've latched onto their "preshus enby hedcannon uwu" they most certainly won't be letting go. If there is any official statement on it now, they'll just whine about how the ebil wight mails making the game hate minorities or whatever.
And Dobson will be standing at whatever side that he (foolishly) believes will make women want him.

Ah, tumblr doing what it does best. Rubbing their gender politics over everything that is popular at the moment and tainting an innocent pastime for everyone else.

I can honestly say 4chan's habit of drawing disgusting porn of characters is far less grating than whenever Tumblr sinks its rainbow-colored claws into something.

Still, that technically counts as violence, whether or not they actually died. Because no matter how you slice it, link's essentially vaporizing creatures left and right, even if they can be bought back.

So what I take from it is "Sword slashing= no no, shooting magic lasers from sword= yes yes". And that's before getting into some of the slapstick and actual physical brawls that popped in time and again.

Seriously, I don't get Dobson, nor his views, sometimes
Really, for some people that's all that's really needed. It's like discussing Kira Yamato (Gundam SEED) with his fanboys. Objectively, Kira Yamato's definition of "peace" is simply gunboat diplomacy. He goes around attacking people (in a mobile suit with an illegal nuclear reactor) to defend what's important to him, yet the show treats it as wrong when the people he's attacked finally say enough and go after him. He's a massive hypocrite but to his supporters he's the greatest because he "doesn't kill" (they tend to be ignorant of the amount of people he has killed, he is more the guy who kills only when he feels it necessary. Same policy Celestial Being has in 00 actually, but the worst Kira fans go off on CB for being murderers).

It's a nice notion, and one some people can easily get behind. Saving the day without killing? That's awesome and it makes the hero look boss. Not to mention kid-friendly, which is about all Dobson can take. Basically, violent but not too violent like a blue bear beating someone with a stick over taking pictures of a cosplayer.

Yeah, but the problem is that this is pretty much Dobson's entire viewpoint, and it amazes me that he's not against stuff like Slapstick humor (which thrives on cartoony violence) or beating (possibly critically) up some pervert.

I think that's it really. If the violence is supposed to be humorous, like slapstick or beating up perverts as a punchline, then it's okay. It's not hard considering how much of a staple it was of his anime tastes way back when. The intention of creating laughs overrides any negativity surrounding the act itself.

But in the end, it's not about whatever causes Dobson believes in. Considering his "ugh, men" moments, you'd think the Zelda cartoon would be off-putting to him because of Link's personality. But it's not and if anything, it's his preferred version of the series. Dobson's dedication to SJ is only skin-deep, he's only in it to look good/ego boost. Underneath it all he's still the same kind of smuck he complains about.
