Really, for some people that's all that's really needed. It's like discussing Kira Yamato (Gundam SEED) with his fanboys. Objectively, Kira Yamato's definition of "peace" is simply gunboat diplomacy. He goes around attacking people (in a mobile suit with an illegal nuclear reactor) to defend what's important to him, yet the show treats it as wrong when the people he's attacked finally say enough and go after him. He's a massive hypocrite but to his supporters he's the greatest because he "doesn't kill" (they tend to be ignorant of the amount of people he has killed, he is more the guy who kills only when he feels it necessary. Same policy Celestial Being has in 00 actually, but the worst Kira fans go off on CB for being murderers).
It's a nice notion, and one some people can easily get behind. Saving the day without killing? That's awesome and it makes the hero look boss. Not to mention kid-friendly, which is about all Dobson can take. Basically, violent but not too violent like a blue bear beating someone with a stick over taking pictures of a cosplayer.
