While I kind of agree that Kat Von D is a shitty person (mostly based on my fairly puritanical views that if you knowingly sleep with another woman's husband, you share culpability and equal shares of douchiness with the man whose cheating you abetted) but this thread already discussed the picture that branded Jeffree Star a "racist" and how the picture was of him and his boyfriend wearing a facial mask that just so happened to go on as oil-slick black.

I just can't help but marvel at how easily and readily these people are to believe the worst of someone who they should all rights be rooting for. And without a shred of actual proof that he's done anything to warrant all the hate.

They really do reach for it, and it never fails to boggle the mind.

Jeffree Star is a shit person and a lolcow. The whole "racist" face mask debacle led to people digging up all sorts of dirt on him. (The most commonly cited ones are the tweets where he threatens violence on female critics.)

To your first point, Game Freak has even made the fact that the games all now come in a variety of languages a major point in the past year, to the point that the North American versions of the new games come with something like 6 different languages on it, and the originals were released in English, Spanish and French on the American e-shop IIRC. And EVEN then reading is REALLY not that important in Pokemon. At all.

To your second point, the OP is almost certainly bringing up wendigos BECAUSE of Until Dawn. It was a really big deal on tumblr for a while.

To be fair, it has made 36,000,000 overseas, so its only about 22mil away from breaking even. It clearly isnt doing as well as sony had hoped, but there are many reasons that happened.

Tumblr is stupid for allowing people to make money off their platform like that when they can't seem to themselves. Especially when they're doing it so publicly. All they'd really have to do to put a damper on it is publicly announce any such transfers are null and void and cancel them.

That wouldn't stop people from doing it clandestinely, but it would stop having any kind of real business of doing it.

In some situations censoring an innocuous word is kind of a meme, like saying "wh*te feminism", "fri*nds", "wh*t" or what have you, I'm 99% sure it was being used in that context. Tumblr culture is a complex and confusing beast.
