Why is Japan okay with pedophilic material?

I suspect it has to do with them working a lot of long hours and not socializing with the opposite sex much. Which leads to them wanting to have a relationship that they could more easily control and someone that is dependent on them. I also suspect that it’s the permissiveness of porn over there. Porn is so readily available that they’re exposed more often and at a younger age. So whatever kinks or crushes they develop at s younger age persist into adulthood. So if they start fantasizing frequently about classmates at a young age they may continue doing so into adulthood.

South Korea I think is more screwed than any other East Asian state. China will have a sharp drop off because of their demographic change but they’ll still have a large populace. Japan is highly developed and is going to bounce back first imo. South Korea is crazy corrupt and insane.

I guess this is a porn thread now. But my two cents is that a lot of Japanese people are mentally somewhat stunted due to the shitty work culture and the realization adulthood is dogshit. That makes them pine for their youth deep down and hence attach themselves to anything that reminds them of being young, hence the sexual focus on younger girls.

Japan crime rate is pretty low compare to western standard, not just sexual crime or harassing.

They took themselves seriously especially in work culture. Most people overworked themselves not because their superior are forcing them ( the only thing forcing them is to drink with them like everworkday afterwork ) , but unfinished works make them look bad in front of peers.
Most adult life goes from home-work-overtime-drink-home. So it is sometimes damaging to health/ family relation.

Adult oriented services like cabaret, host bar, love hotel, soap land appeared because of that harsh work culture, i guess.
These name are strange and unfamiliar or weird out westerners but those are just variants of old western enterainment services.

I feel like a lot of crime is flat out unreported or unininvestigated by the Japanese police. I remember a case where an Australian woman was date raped by a Japanese playboy and died as a result of the drugging. Yet, the police ruled the obvious gomicide a suicide and close the csse almost immediately. Japan seems like a very sketchy place by some metrics. Definitely safer than your average US city but it's not idyllic.

I think that would be of higher likelyhood if you are a foreigner. Japan is very insular. If you go to some stores, restaurants, and brothels in Japan. They will turn you away if you are a foreigner.

For an average person, Japan is way safer than many other options.
Just compare with some american cities;
No one is looting stores like they are your birthright.
No one is selling drugs blatantly.
No one is gunning down schools.
No one is executing homeless people.

For most part, japan is pretty good choice.
Even if retard like skeleton here go and bark in japan street all day, japan will just ignore him altogether. Many people can live in japan with very little communication skills.

I don't disagree, but it feels like you are more likely to be a victim of crime if you are a foreigner of some stripe unless you are in Okinawa or something where all the US bases are. You stand out a lot (unless you are an Asian in which case, not so much until you talk) and that alone seems like it would put a target on your back for people that are on the seedier side of the law in addition to the presumed large sums of money you would have and lack of connections. But, I don't disagree that Japan is safer then the US in general.

Usually in asian countries, serious crimes rarely happened to foreigners. ( for example, like 1 case a year).
And need some basic awareness,
Dont go to sketchy area when it is night time (like where homeless gathers)
Dont go to places your pay grade cant afford and they can really rip you off when you are drunk
(like kabuki cho)
Dont sign on shady documents.
