Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

I guess if you didn't find it all that enthralling, the sequel will have to do a whole lot to be worth it in your eyes. But for me, based on the trailers and hands-on impressions, this looks to be even better than BOTW and refine everything that was great about it.
I don't think anybody disagrees it's refining BotW, the problem is some of us don't just want BotW: Refined Edition. But I guess we've been over this.

Figures I would miss all the fun while taking a nap. I'm still not sold on this game but just curious enough to steal a copy from the niggers at amazon and I recommend anyone on the fence do the same. Really hope its not just none-room sky shrines like people fear, I'd rather have seven big dungeons that intelligently use the limited tools I get from the start.

This new Zelda game will be shit and the only people looking forward to it are woke leftoids and actual pedophiles.

I just got through Minish Cap, and I honestly forgot how charming these top-down Zeldas were with their small details. I started up LttP after that and realized that MC is baby Zelda, comparatively. I kept swinging at enemies in LttP and missing, only to lose some health. I was used to the sword hit-box being bigger and having a wider swing. The movement seems faster and more precise in MC, along with being able to roll. I kept opening the map, thinking it was the item button. Overall, great experiences, though. I might start up the Oracle games after LttP just to see all the small details that I might have missed or forgotten since I last played them.

It's looking to be among the best-selling Zelda game in Japan if COMG pre-order numbers are anything to get by, being pretty close to Splatoon 3 and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet which both surpassed vidya launch sale records in Japan's history. I can see a lot of actual kids looking forward to it.

Something I didn't appreciate at the time as a kid but I do now is that it's up there as having some of the best pixel art on the GBA.
didn't people shit on at the time for some reason? I played it on an emulator not too long ago and found it perfectly serviceable and enjoyable.

TotK has supposedly started to appear on private tinfoil servers, people are trying to download it but its killing server speed. If it's real and not a fake NSP, I expect it to start popping up on piracy sites either later today or tomorrow. If you care about spoilers now would be a good time to start avoiding stuff.

EDIT: Tinfoil leak was fake as expected, but the warning is still out there, it is two weeks out and games usually get shipped to retailers around two weeks from launch. Zelda is a big title, so I expect a leak sooner than the usual 1 week early.

They did but I can't remember why. Maybe Elzo or the shrinking gimmick. I vaguely recall people bitching about collectibles or the length?
The shrinking gimmick didn't really bother me much, every Zelda game has some sort of bullshit gimmick, Zelda 2 for side scrolling stuff, Link to the past for switching to the dark world, minnish cap for shrinking. Occarina of time and Mahoras mask had gimmicks (forgive me father for I have not played them yet.) Wind waker had sailing. The DS ones had DS related bullshit. There's the one Link turns into a furry. If you look at the games as a standalone thing they're all decent. People get too invested over games.
