Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Russia is really struggling to find its identity lately. China just surpassed them in chess.
And I cheer that, along with all other Russian chess enthusiasts. Nepo is a treacherous dog and entirely undeserving of his title. He should be stripped of it and sent to the front to meet his beloved hohols in person.

they got nothing to mount it on at the moment.
Yet again the RuZZian propaganda reaches fever pitch in this thread. (Im sure it gets a bad snopes rating btw.) Consider this your personal FACT CHECK:

The KPV is clearly mounted to Ivan, who is adorning the newest concept of NATOs new 2-man "Gayminator" Exo-Skeleton.
The recoil of the weapon produces a very euphoric thrusting motion, which directly pushes the pilot against his boyfriend in service/co-pilot so bravely that the homophobic ruzzians cannot help themselves but feel mortified at its proud and strong LGBTQ+ aura.
This weapon system will see the brave Ukranian servicetransmen break through the gates of Putins private residence in Siberia in about two more weeks.

They have spent the last 30 years or so shitting on manufacturing trades. No zoomers are becoming machinists. They saw the past generation all get laid off and everything get shipped to china. They saw elite spit in their face while telling them to LEARN TO CODE.
And all the little companies that used to machine these parts and tooling all closed up shop from the government's constant start/stop ordering. Lean "Just in time" and on demand supply lines doesn't work for this type of stuff.

Places like Electric Boat need to hire 14,000 people just to fill the contracts they already have lined up. They have said its going to take them 10 years to do it and they basically have get kids strait out of high school in to training and apprenticeship programs. This was before Ukraine.

These munitions companies are not going to be able to just snap their fingers and find 1000's of people who can do this sort of work tomorrow. Unless the USA gets serious about re-shoring skilled manufacturing I just do not see them being able to unfuck the capacity issues. Kids are not going to commit to a career they know will vanish at the drop of a hat.

When MIC companies like NG tell you its going to take 6 years they really mean 12. Oh and multiply the cost 3x.
Can confirm, my last job was adjacent to Huntington Ingalls (the other submarine yard) and the situation there was pretty bad. They even had to walk back the vax mandate because they were seriously afraid that somewhere from 20-30% of the tradesmen were just going to walk.

Seems like Russia bombed Pavlograd, they apparently took 2000 tons of Ukrainian AA missiles with them. The fuckers of course stored them in one Warehouse it seems

WTF guys, the ukranians, the ISW and the British said ruZZia ran out of missiles last year! how is this possible?
They just need those damn F-16s to finally kick putler's terror forces back to moscowia and out of Crimea

The "Spring Counteroffensive" is going to go down in Summer I guess judging by the sliding timescale. Whole thing is laughable. First of all, what fucking military announces their top secret retaliation plan in international media? Secondly, what is the goal supposed to be? One last suicide charge into Crimea? The Russians aren't going anywhere, they're still gonna be there when you move in.

I'm starting to think this is the last scripted hurrah before the war officially "ends." Like a big climax in an action movie where the heroes finally win and take everything back. That's obviously not how it's gonna go down but this is 100% optics.

Zelensky and Biden have so heavily invested in the "victory or death" narrative the war is not going to "end". Expect a frozen North Korea vs. South Korea conflict at best and a perpetual trench warfare that will stretch out for a decade at worst, or at least until either of them gets voted out (ha, ha) or chokes on the matzah.

Of course, there is always a very minor chance that megacorps that already signed the lucrative contracts for "restoration of Ukraine" will use their lobbyists to put an end to the thing before the bong depleted uranium shells poison their investment for good/America's economic woes cause it to fold or look elsewhere, but this is far fetched, and I am putting it very mildly. Things have to get much worse before the economic factors have an impact, and this goes for Russia just as well.
