Pat strikes me as the kind of sperg who, since childhood, was gripped with certainty that he’d be famous someday. A special boy with a special future!
He was right, but not quite how he imagined.
Pat thought he’d be able to parlay his book deal into other media, like film or TV. When his books were all ignored by anyone outside the Worldcon ghetto, Pat seized upon his victimhood as his real destiny.
It’s clear he thinks his stalker childing is how he becomes part of the cultural zeitgeist. If he inflicted any of this on himself, he’ll be the latest in a long line of thirsty losers to do so. It’s not unusual. But in Pat’s case it’s especially funny — and especially FAT.
