Parole boards are not obligated to keep anyone in prison a day longer than their sentence requires. And high-ranking officials can always grant pardons.

And god help you if you defend yourself. The LE apparatus is also under no obligation to defend your rights either even in cases of obviously justified and obviously lawful self-defense (just ask Kyle Rittenhouse). "The process is the punishment" and all that.

Going back to this so we don't go too far off-topic, and in reverse order:

If something isn't either helping or hindering my life in a functional, practical way, I effectively stop seeing it at all and it has no emotional impact on me whatsoever.

This one is especially true for smells. Everyone gets used to their own smell and that of their own house. That's why old ladies wear too much perfume, they don't notice the scent anymore.
To avoid this phenomenon:

• Swap out your perfumes on a regular basis (or use different scent for different situations)
• Use neutral of unscented cleaning supplies in your home
• Swap up the incense/candles/wax melts/essential oils you use to make your home smell nice every time one gets used up

Maybe this is just my crippling autism talking, but doesn't your brain very quickly get accustomed to those 'micro-luxuries" and become part of the meaningless background of your environment to the point that they might as well not be there?

It can, and this is why hippies have a point about "practicing gratitude"; it helps avoid lifestyle inflation. If you're always super-psyched to have tasty, drinkable water coming out of the kitchen tap, your baseline level of happiness will be a little bit higher than if you take that for granted.

the asexuality part stems either from a fear of sex, a fear of men, or the belief that theyre somehow broken or abnormal for not having dated or been interested in anyone thruout their school life, which they were tricked into believing is impossible.
the trains part is moreso rooted in a porn addiction, and is kinda interesting- it happens when a girl reads so much gay smut she is literally unable to visualize sex or pleasure in a way that doesnt involve two men, and by extension feels the need to become a man in order to feel sexually desired. this is usually obvious when a transgender guy's ideal, or sometimes only, vision of themselves if one of a sexy, young anime lad, as opposed to a more realistic portrayal of themselves just with male characteristics. or when they say things like "if only i was a boy id be having sooooo much sex".

It's so fucked. PL but I spent way too long living with an abusive family member who assaulted me on numerous occasions and the cops never arrested him or did jack shit about it. If the same things had happened in public rather than at home, he'd be a felon.
