Almost certainly. His brain is so ossified by 20 years of doing the same thing that all he has is the "puppetmaster defence" (aka "I was only pretending to be retarded"), no matter how ridiculous it makes him look. There's no point in him doing it - he has no friends, and we're not going to be fooled by it. Maybe he does it to try to convince himself he's smart in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Shane is basically incapable of original or creative thought. Am I the only one who noticed that he would only change his tactics or do something new when someone in the thread suggested it? Everything from saying that asking for a minor's nudes was an edgy joke to pressing a different reaction button on posts in this thread, he only did them when we prompted him to. I guess that's what 20 years with no intellectual stimulation does to someone. For 20 years he has deployed exactly the same lies, made exactly the same threats, made exactly the same lame early 2000s references. He has left a two-decade internet footprint of posts that are exactly the same as the ones he makes now. How can you learn nothing at all in 20 years? If I had 20 years without employment, I'd at the very least develop some interests, read some books, maybe learn coding or a new language. Shane never bothered. He just sat in front of his XBox and made the same empty threats, using the same 4 or 5 stock phrases, and just got fatter and fatter. His wife left him, Microsoft HR stopped returning his calls, his teeth rotted out, he got banned from Reddit and every MS forum, but none of that prompted him to change course or self-evaluate. I've never seen someone give up in that way. At least Pat Tomlinson wrote some shitty books and tried to sue people. Shane makes Pat look positively dynamic.
