Ralph has claimed it will be a "few months" before they get back together, but I'm guessing her conditions would be to move to the US and quit the pills. Although I can see her being dumb enough to go back to him, I cannot see Ralph ever managing to clear those two conditions.

idk if anyone mentioned this yet but what are the chances her reason to leave was mainly the increased crime against tourists in mexico? just the other week some resort got shot up and just before that some tourists were kidnapped.

they’re not living in THE most dangerous part of mexico but not the safest either, meigh could’ve seen these events and had it really sink in that not only would ralph not protect her in this type of situation, he’d probably be the one to initiate it and sacrifice meigh or the baby to save himself.

No, not at all.

But May and Ralph weren’t living in the upscale western enclaves for rich people, or upper middle class expats near the coast, they were living in an area and accommodations mostly meant for retired American snowbirds living on social security. Even that crowd only lives there during the winter months and because it’s cheap when you are on a fixed income.

May and Ralph got to live the exciting life style of a retiree on a fixed income in Mexico. The majority of Americans around would have been boomers and snowbirds. Add to that May was trapped with a blackout alcoholic addicted to Xanax, food, gambling and porn so their already limited funds were spent on Gunt’s vices.

Living with the greasy, angry black hole that is Gunt plus caring for an infant full time (the only babysitter they ever found scared off within 48 hours) was untenable.

Gunt likes Mexico because he’s a poor, cheapskate asshole with trashed credit who only cares about feeding his own vices and staring at screens. Maybe Pantsu actually has other aspirations besides stuffing ice cream down her fat, passed out husband’s drooling pie hole.

I think she was tired of living like poor white trash in Mexico with her daughter walking around in dirty rags just so Ralph could afford to drink more, eat more, take more pills and buy more hookers.
