Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

I also got her a sewing machine she's had her eye on, she's into vintage fashion (much like myself) and she's been eyeing this old singer in a antique shop window for the last month or so, she doesn't know I've got it for her the plan is we'll go for a ride or out for lunch and I'll message my sister and she will put it in the house for me at the moment it's stashed in the Horse Box and I won't mention it's there and wait to see how long it takes her to notice.
How old is the Singer? There are tons of old pedal Singers and old Singer tables around where I am; they look amazing but they're all insanely heavy. A few years back there was a fashion for taking the old Singer table drawers and making them into chests of drawers. I actually have a couple sets of my own that I need to finish, but I just hate sanding so much. I like pretty much everything about restoring furniture except sanding. Hate hate hate sanding.

About 100+ years old, it's a full treadle job - it will likely be my BIL moving it.

Also I am with you on sanding, it's a horrible horrible job.

Rewatched an anime I liked as a teen, where they didn't even try to hide the name. Usually, anime try to rewrite a parody name to not get copyrighted (I think).

Bought a (new) cassette player. Toyed with the idea for a while, as I really enjoy old music tech and the unique sounds it produces. Didn't wanna roll the dice on a genuine vintage Walkman, so just ordered up this cheap Chinesium machine that looks pretty cool.

First tapes ordered: Invisible Touch, Genesis (US import, 1986) and an old Pimsleur tape + book combo from the early 90s on Mandarin study.

Should be cool messing with one of these for the first time in 25 years...

That looks cool! I was all about books on tape as a kid, the weird little cassette noises were relaxing. Looking at that makes me want to drive out to a lake and slap in a tape while watching the water. Please give us a review after you've used it for a while.

A door mat for our front door. It has domestic rats printed on it. Most things I own have something to with rats or are decorated with pictures or sculptures of rats, but that's only because of coincidence. It's not like I'm obsessed with rats or anything like that. (Honest.)

Around 250 mini Kit Kats as gifts and to laugh at the lads at work when they’re trying to eat a matcha tea Kit Kat with their brew.
A PS Vita (SD2VITA has been ordered), this was a bargain really, cost £60 and they go for £100ish last I looked on bong eBay, but I mainly got it to mess around with emulation on.
iPad Pro 11 inch, Apple Pencil and a Smart Folio because I want to learn to draw and not have a work desk that’s 90% notes on scraps of paper.
And a new PS5 controller because i wanted a blue one.
I am beyond help.

edit-

Oh! @Aunt Carol the cat loves the little cars, i‘ve been finding them everywhere so she’s been picking them out of the toy box to play with when I’m not about. Thanks again for that link.

Cats just love little skittery things they can knock around. Those little pull-back friction cars have also been teaching the children here a useful Life Skill: getting things out from under the furniture with a broom or a yardstick. Sometimes because the children sent them there, sometimes because the cat is standing by the bookcase and complaining.

If you really want to get anal about it calibrate your measuring instruments, a lot of Tape Measures are off by a significant margin.
I actually 3d-printed some measuring sticks for all of us with the most commonly-used distances marked out (9", 6", 3", 1").

As for purchases, I did pick up this neat rasp to use on a guitar-building project.

I like those Japanese rasps it's nice to see someone else pick one up, just a word of advice though the tang isn't as far into the handle as you think so go gentle with it when your going at it with the rough side.

Lol I wanted a treadle machine so bad the last time my power went out. I've been looking at refurbished vintage (but electric) and industrial machines myself because I want to sew heavier materials like leather and canvas. My current machine (while a solid, all metal model that does its job well) isn't powerful enough to do much more than altering jeans, and even then topstitching can become a struggle.

A Beretta 92fs. The gun itself is reliable, cool, & iconic. But the primary driving force that lead to the purchase was to have it for St. Patrick's Day when I get pretty drunk & watch The Boondock Saints.

Before that, it was an original N-3B snorkel parka I purchased from my local surplus store. I didn't need it, I don't wear winter coats, but it called to me. It is the warmest thing I have ever worn. I'll probably never seriously need it until I reach my fifties. Until then, it will stay in the coat closet... or until the next blizzard. At such time, I will don said parka, crack the windows, pop on The Thing, & cuddle with my shotgun & a bottle of whiskey.

This stupid duck toy. I was watching Sam Hyde's fish tank and one of the girls named Josie was playing with it and the song witch doctor was playing from this obnoxious kids toy and reverberating through the walls.

Now I feel like the song "Oo ee oo oo ee eee" is stuck in my head and I need this toy
